I agree that it would be remarkable, but i dont know if id bet on a team to win 16 out of 28 games when they lost 90% of the time in the regular season.

I feel like if a team won 10 games and lost 72 in overtime/shootout, they wouldnt have deserved a playoff spot. I know that would never happen, just saying.

I think Holland could have sent the same message without the NMC. All it does is limit our options down the road and that's just dumb.Its like Holland's computer autofills the NMC portion into all of his contracts and he doesnt know how to turn that feature off.

For the record, im fine with the deal. I would have liked to see something with less term and/or money, but its nothing to get upset over. If a bunch of young, rich, single men want to blow all their money on gambling and hookers, it won't bother me in the slightest. Not too sure why anyone else would care either. I'm fairly certain that the majority of them will be able to balance their partying and professional duties just fine. Christ, Pete Rose was a gambling addict and he managed to become the greatest hitter of all time. And if they aren't able to do their job they probably aren't NHL material anyway.
