Personally, I havent seen upside from Jurco but I'm just simply not a fan. (thats just an opinion I've been wrong before) As a player who is supposed to give offence, thats what you want to see from him, not a neutral impact. I agree with playing kids to get them better as is the case with Jurco but I think its a good call to sit him for a game. Jurco has been bad so I think its more of a message. He needs to be better. I agree, Glendenning should never sniff anything but the 4th line. Love the guy but hes perfect for that role

Nice to see Larkin still in and Ferraro/Jurco being scratched over him even with seniority Also, Smith being scratched this early is huge!!! I love that Blash is willing to bench "prospects" for playing horrible side note: Anyone else not see Ferarro sticking around very long? He's looked okay but nothing overly special aside from a potential miller replacement. Not too sure where he fits in the future. After seeing how tight abby miller and glendenning have become I think Miller will be around until he retires

You really think Holland didn't tell him how it was going to play out before hand? Cleary couldn't make the team last season (with Babs) and we're even deeper this season Cleary IS delusional. I loved the guy for years but he still thinks he can play. Last year he was easily one of the worst players I've seen play for Detroit. If it wasn't a turnover, it was an instant shoot the puck down the ice. Whatever line he was on was made irrelevant. Hard working players are great to have in the early stages of their careers, but as they get older it just isn't enough.

So it wasn't a pre-spoken agreement that he'd be going down when he signed this year. He actually believed he deserved a spot in the NHL. Good god

I'd trade Ericsson for Chara lol (although Chara has 3 years left on his contract, not sure I'd want that) Bergeron would be a good "replacement" for Datsyuk when he retires, but until then theres nothing we could offer that would entice the Bruins in any way. Especially to a division rival. They wouldn't want any of our roster players that we'd have to send to free cap. I wouldve LOVED to land dougie Hamilton but CGY screwed them on that one

I didn't say he was for sure done but it doesn't look good. Franzen has been very stubborn throughout this whole concussion ordeal. The thing with these head injuries is its totally on the person who's having them to call the shots, theres no way of a doctor telling if he can or can't play because theres only "symptoms" If he just sat out (8 months?) and comes back for 2 games and doesn't even get hit and hes facing symptoms again, what's going to happen when he actually gets hit in the fastest game in the world? Pronger's and Savard's symptoms never went away and it doesn't seem like Mule's will either. These things just tend to get worse...

Have you been paying attention to concussions for the past 10 years? He missed 1/3 of last season from symptoms (from a tap to the chin) and complained of symptoms all off season Came back for 2 games (with seemingly minimal contact) and hes out again. It does NOT look good for mule.

Was it windy in Detroit the other night? A harsh gust of wind is likely the culprit Seriously though, I feel bad for Mule. He looked really good out there but atleast now if he has to call it quits he'll never have to ask himself if he made the right choice or not.

Not a fan of Cleary's decision here. Holland gifted him 3 contracts and now its time for him to return the favor and he wont do it. Hope he leaves the org and never looks back

I'll say Datsyuk, in 60 games. Maybe 70 points. A bit of a stretch but i still think hes capable of a 90 point pace for a full season If not, then Z. Dats for sure leads in points per game though

Pretty sure its available for purchase right now, but thats in Canada not sure about Italy They broadcast regular season and post season games, preseason usually isnt even televised

Going to Ottawa on Haloween to see the Wings play. I can go about once a year to a game so hoping Pav can play. I've been to 4 games and only seen him play once

I'd say 90% of the players on a PTO right now are irrelevant. We have too many guys already in the show and all the players on PTO are expected to play at the NHL level I don't see anyone on a PTO right now that would be a good fit in Detroit... MAYBE Steve Bernier if we got rid of someone on the fourth line

While I agree, Abby would be getting money for his prime years. When Gus is at that level, he'll likely be around 6-7 mil. It sounds like a lot right now, but its still taking awhile to get used to cap inflation. Just under 4M wouldnt be bad at all.
