I think the difference with this team and the other teams we had with terrible stretches is that we just arent that good. We stole points with heroics probably 7 times in the first 30 games. That was clutch as ever, but it has to be mentioned. The cup winning teams had the best roster in the NHL and we knew it. Everyone else knew it. Do you really see a cup contending team when you watch us play?

Pretty huge news that Mrazek is starting tomorrow on a back to back. That instantly shows how Babs is feeling about Howard. When babs changes a lineup even with his thick skull, you know something is serious

His second of 2 goals against PIT in the finals where he scored a wraparound and skated on one leg and fist pumped after is still one of my favorite moments ever. That one gives me chills haha i dont know what it was. I hated pitsburgh so much

Yeah, I wouldnt get your hopes up. Didnt Bungie sell Halo? That always kills the franchise. Apparently with the masterchief collection they don't have the same matchmaking system, which was basically the pride of Halo3.

Absolutely clean hit on Glendenning, dont be homers One of the nicest hits ive seen this season TBH Skate with your head down at that height your going to get hit there first, every time. If that was dirty Kronwall shouldve been suspended for each hit hes done

I wouldnt be so quick to disregard players from that era. Yeah the goalies werent as great, but you were getting hacked slashed and grabbed at every turn. The game took more then just skill and speed to play, you 100% had to be tough. Guys like semin (just a random example) wouldnt even come close to making it in the NHL at that time

Just noticed the standings today, OTT and BOS catching up real quick while we have basically blown it for 1st/2nd. Need to turn it around really quickly, starting today. OTT showing they want it more, big time.

With reason. Nobody in their right mind takes Kindl in a trade. Smith has slight value, I'd be shocked if we got Phanuef for Smith/Weiss. Absolutely shocked. Leafs replace theyre top Dman for Smith (arguably our worst) and lose 2M in total salary when the deal is done.... Not exactly a great play on Nonis' part. Also Weiss doesn't help them out now or in the rebuild. Jurco/Pulk is definatley going the other way. Think about it, say we were trading FOR Weiss/Kindl. What would you possibly want to give up for that? I'd want to receive high picks and not give them anyone else in return.

Meh if were referring to the avalanche series we would have swept them either way. They just brought nothing to the table against us. I loved Franzen back then but I'd still say we easily win if he happened to have not played that series. What was it, like 9 goals in 4 games though? Just crazy, especially since he broke/tied the record for goals in a wings series in 4 games

I agree, I wasn't sad to lose him or anything but hes a good hockey player. He makes things happen with hustle and gives it every shift. Guy would throw his weight around everywhere it was clear he took every chance he possibly had
