- Use the 2nd Rounder and add Tatar, Nyquist and Ferraro to get Myers ... tatar and nyquist for myers are you mad? and ericcsson... our only defender capable of consistently staying at home and not pinching every shift....or shooting the puck the second he gets it tatar and nyquist are the future. Maybe not tats as much as gus.... but nyquist is our next big player. Giving him up in a package no less for Myers would have me furious for the next 10 years. Also, trading smith for evander kane who puts up tatar numbers (other then 30 goals, once) is also absurd. Or is that because he hits people? Smith has all the tools to be our best defenseman when kronwall is gone....he looks like duncan keith some nights with his skating and passing; we just need to hope his hockey IQ increases

Its pretty evident that the wings need to improve in the shootout...all around. Even dats stinks now; I used to get excited just to see him get a chance to do something magical. Solid comeback to get the point though, although that seems to be normal nowadays. Regarding helm in the shootout: yes it was a bad call as he just lost the puck on his way to the net in typical helm fashion, but he played a good game and everyone would be saying babs is the best coach ever if helm had scored. If anyone remembers, helm did score a clutch goal in his other shootout attempt to give us a win.

Buffalo is in a rebuild. The last guy theyre going to want from our roster is weiss. The only place we could maybe trade him to is somewhere like ottawa who is weak at the center position and looking to win sooner rather than later It also doesn't make sense for them to move myers... I think theyre overvaluing what he could bring back so they wanted to field offers but won't like what they get. Theres a high chance he doesnt go anywhere. The guy is the same age as Smith theres tons of room for him to improve in a rebuild

I agree with you, but we were all thinking the same thing last season. I thought he was a product of lucky bounces last year but hes proven to be EXTREMELY effective on capitalizing on his chances.

Weiss isnt going anywhere. He has a NMC and with that cap hit he would be impossible to move even without his no movement clause, you think he would accept a trade to buffalo?

Rask is phenomenal, one of the best goalies ive ever seen play. The bruins defence is worse right now then ours was last season... you can put anybody in net there and obviously the stats won't be as great. Going into this season, there was speculation that boston would be a worse team then they were last year, when you factor in the injuries theyve had with the loss of Iginla, its going to affect your goals against.

I don't see him passing Howe, personally. Having said that, 89 points over 2 seasons isn't much of a stretch. I guess if he makes it that far theres a high chance he could beat out Messier as well, which is impressive considering he played in the KHL.

Not sure what the numbers are for career totals, but I see Jagr probably playing next season as well.. at this point of his career he has the knack of disapearing for 58 minutes then putting a point on the board, so hes pretty consistent in that way. Seems to have a knack for getting points

The wings can pay me 5.M every 5 years to travel with the team and sit in the press box....maybe play in GR every now and then. In fact, If i pay $25,000 a year to do it, does it subtract from our cap hit?
