Damien Cox thinks the hit was illegal guys. We should give up our argument. After all, Cox does an excellent job of describing why the hit was illegal. Oh wait... Saying Crosby never had the puck is a flat out lie because he did have the puck and had literally just moved it forward before Mule hit him. You can hit a player who doesn't have the puck, so long as the timing is correct. What's your next horrible argument?

That was a far cry from a cheap shot and you know it, but by all means, continue to be a troll and a dick.
-
A Ducks fan really wants to come into here and talk about what is cheap? You're pathetic.

The organization is committed to Flip, which was seen by their refusal to trade him. He fits perfect with Hossa and comes up with goals every now and then. He reminds me a lot of a young Dats.
-
I thought the end of the playoffs meant the end of all these trolls. Wow, was I wrong.
-
Then the team must really hate Hudler, Sammy and Homer. There were plenty of guys that were no shows, not just Hossa. The Wings would have still made the playoffs and won the central, but would they have been the number 2 seed in the West? The biggest problem for this team in the regular season was finding that drive. At times, it seemed Hossa was the only one with that drive and he is a big reason why the Wings were that number 2 seed.

I thought Hossa was decent with Dats. The problem is that Dats is no longer the pass first shoot second guy. Hossa needs that set up guy that almost always looks to pass first, which is why he fits so well with Flip. I wouldn't exactly call Flip a low tier Wings seeing as how he led the team in the playoffs in assists, along with Z. Flip is easily a first line center on many NHL teams. I think having Mule on the first line is a mistake. It would be packing too much talent onto one line and then leaving the rest of the lines bare. Only time will tell on that one.

If I recall, Franzen was the next coming of Homer. Then he went all crazy and became a 30 goal scorer.
-
I would have to disagree. Hossa seemed to be a great fit for the Red Wings. First off, he led the team in goals scored and he was in the Top 5 for assists. No one had a bad word to say about him and he wouldn't be screaming about how much he wants to stay in Detroit if he didn't fit in. I think the biggest problem is that it seems like our lines changed on a daily basis. No one ever had a solid linemate that they could gel with. I think it was a mistake for Babcock to break up Dats and Z. I think next season they are reunited, as they were in the SCF and I think that Mule, Flip and Hossa become our second line since they showed flashes of brilliance. Next season will be better for Hossa. The attention will return to his play on ice and he will have a long term contract. The pressure of having to win a Cup because he left millions on the table for 1 season will be gone.

Another one of these Ducks fans. How wonderful. Take a page out of Duck Guy's book.

I agree with both of you. Leino showed that he is NHL ready in the regular season and he will sign for around the league minimum. It would be stupid for the Wings to let him go.
-
There were a lot of rumors coming out that Hossa would be staying for Franzen money, which would be a $3.9 million cap hit. I would imagine that the contract would be 1-2 years longer though. If Hossa does stay, 75-25 that he does, then Kenny might ask Homer to retire and possible have Draps or Malts consent to a trade to free up some cap space. It's all pretty messy, but Kenny can get it done. Regardless of what happens with Hossa, I think Sammy is gone simply because he doesn't produce all that much and his two-way abilities suck. It seems to me that the team keeps him simply because he is a right-handed shot. Our defensive core is solid. There is no need to go trading away half the D core because they had a sub-par season. I would consider a new assistant coach, bye bye Brad McCrimmon, before I considered breaking up the D core. More than likely, these are our top 2 lines next season with Helm centering the 3rd line with a possibility of Leino being on the left wing. After that, who knows. We could see Downey on the 4th line at this point. It's just too early to tell. Dats-Z-Cleary Mule-Flip-Hossa

Leino will be on the roster next season or he will not be a Red Wing. He has said that much when he said that he was done playing in the minors.

The Pens won the Stanley Cup and these Pens trolls are still here trying to convince us of the same garbage as before and during the series. It's bordering on sad now.
-
Outplayed is a stretch seeing as the series went to 7 games.
-
The obligatory comment from a Pens fan talking about the Steelers/Football.

Show me the excuses that I made? Aside from bashing Crosby, which many people do, what other Pens have I bashed? You really suck at trolling.
-
Wow. I'm glad that with your busy schedule that you can stay and find the time to give us comment gems like these.

#2 on the biggest whiner list was Chris Pronger. Lidstrom was voted the 2nd Best Leader behind Jarome Iginla. Watch the video again buddy and this time pay attention.

Our GM cheats the salary cap? How is that? What rules have been broken? That's right, NONE. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that I am glad that you are leaving. We respect fans from opposing teams that come to these boards to discuss hockey in a respectable fashion. You on the other hand, are one of the countless trolls that we have to put up with. As for these other comments you made, I don't know where you are coming from. I never said anything about penalties, so I don't see how that makes my argument invalid since I never made that argument. You asked for a specific example and I gave you one. Grasping at strings. You should be happy that Hossa left your team because with him, the Pens are drastically different and may not have been in position to win a Stanley Cup. These excuses you speak of are not coming from me. I simply stated that it was disrespectful for the captain of a team to not shake the hands of most of the opposing team, which it is. Enjoy your parade. I've enjoyed the parades for the Wings' victories thoroughly in 1997, 1998, 2002 and 2008. So long troll.
