Worst game of the season. At least they don't have to wait long for a chance to bounce back... although they have been inexplicably horrendous for several games now, so I won't get my hopes up for that.

Lol no. I guess I just wasn't clear. I was originally trying to give a poor example (on purpose). Apparently it did not come across that way. I will say, though, that I blame the poor defense more so than I do Howard for the goals scored against Detroit tonight. I feel that Howard was put into positions that he should not have been put in on at least 2 out of three. Obviously not one of Howard's best games, but he is not the first place I would go if I were to divvy out blame.

I said the theory was just as garbage as the previous one. Try reading. A "W"is a hell of a lot easier for a goaltender to obtain with solid goal support, which is accomplished by the rest of the team and Mrazek has had more of this season. And a "L" is a hell of a lot more difficult to avoid with a lack of goal support, which Howard has gotten more of. Putting this loss solely on Howard and insinuating that Mrazek would have won this game is completely ridiculous. The team as a whole was terrible and earned the loss.

Sure, numbers and stats don't lie. Have you heard of save % or goals against average.? Here's a theory... maybe they score more when Mrazek is in because they know he will let in more. That's a load of garbage, but so is your theory.

What is wrong with the Wings fans at the Joe? You should not be singing along about how your car is in the front yard and you're sleeping with your clothes on at the end of that game. You should be booing the home team that you paid money to watch play hockey, but instead they decided to half-ass it and mail in the game against a bottom feeder team.

Helm is a ridiculously fast skater. Holmstrom wasn't. Helm isn't a defensive liability, taking some of that burden off of Datsyuk. Holmstrom was, and didn't.

I viewed that more along the lines of a message to the guys you would think would hold down that spot (Weiss, Jurco). .... "You're not playing well enough to keep a 4th line center from taking your top six winger spot. At least this guy works hard and provides energy/effort for his linemates. That's more than you are providing. Start producing. Stop sucking."

There's no maybe. He definitely is being used improperly. Take him off of the power play so that the team has fewer boneheaded turnovers leading to shorthanded goals against.

I really thought they would come out much harder and sharper than this after that crap effort against Calgary. I am so sick of Stephen Weiss. I don't understand how he isn't viewed in more of a negative light by most Wings fans. 5 years at $4.9 million per for what has turned out to be a weak, undersized, average-at-best third line winger.

Yeah, certainly not a lot of positive things to say about anyone in a Wings jersey after that point, but Howard had an especially poor game.
