I think an NHL v KHL match could be justified because the exhibition is much shorter than the Olympics, however perhaps most importantly it could possibly sway some KHL players into realizing that the NHL is still the league to be in, thus bringing more skill(and thus money)into the league.

I think our third and fourth lines will have the best opportunity to score in this series. Phoenix is making a note of keeping our top six from playing with the space they like.

In my bracket I have Detroit, LA, and Philly as upsets, and I was strongly considering Boston over Buffalo. I can't really defend any of my picks though... I just have good feelings about them.

I often wonder where he would stand compared to Lids had he not been in that accident. They have/had their own strengths but nobody can deny Konstantinov's defensive ability. +60 in a single season is no fluke.

I wish I could start some objective movement to demonstrate that no refs have it in for any one team. One thing that drives me crazy is how Wings fans are looked at as the tin foil hat society of the league.

Unfortunately I had to miss the game today, but I was definitely pleased to see we won it in OT. However after checking out the highlights and the boxscore, it seems like the Hawks outplayed us. Can anyone who saw the game validate/refute this, or at the very least give me a better representation of what happened? Thanks!

What does Guerin/Dupuis/Kunitz/Crosby/Malkin have to do with this thread, or half the threads you post in for that matter? If you think Ovy is where he is largely because of the talent around him, that's fine, but please don't escalate this into another Crosby vs Ovechkin debate. The internet has plenty of them already.

Jimmy looked good tonight. Its good to see that he'll be ending the season with more than two shutouts also. By the way, I just did some calculations, and in addition to being in the top five for save percentage and goals against, as well as in the top ten for wins, he is sixth best in the league for wins/starts ratio, winning 60% of the games he has started in this year. That says alot IMO considering the circus act of injuries the Wings faced this season.
