Didn't we give up 9 to them last year?
-
I wonder what the Devils gave up for him.
-
It almost makes me wish he'll end up in Chicago.
-
If the swatting motion took place after the puck had already hit his hand and continued through the air towards the net, then it certainly did not affect the play.
-
That is the temporary deadline. Trades are put on hiatus over the Olympic break, then are resumed after the nhl starts back up again.
-
Actually I'm fine with the logic behind it. The goal went it not because he swiped at the puck. It was just a redirection off his body like in any other situation. The fact that he directed his hand at the net after the puck left it makes no difference as to whether it was going to go in or not. Why penalize him for something that doesn't affect the play? My only qualm is why was his hand off the stick in the first place?

Just once I'd like to see the call go our way. It seems like the reviewed plays go against us 10-1

The idea of Therrien coaching the Jackets makes me vomit. Also, I respect Hitchcock and the idea of him being replaced by Therrien makes me vomit. The short of it is, if that actually happens, I'll be vomiting a bunch.

That's pretty much where we're at, minus the goalie. Datsyuk- 6.7m Zetterberg- 6m Franzen- 4m Lidstrom- 7.45m Rafalski- 6m

When's the trade deadline again??
-
For some reason I initially read this as "i wonder who would be the first in line for a new jersey if we somehow got Kovy?" then I saw the LW and nothing made sense.

I've been hearing the Kings come up a lot
-
Cory Perry is none too pleased

The vintage echolalia wants to say nintendo, but the logical echolalia wants to say wii, because many of the nintendo classics are available on vc anyways. So wii. ketchup or catsup

Nope, I am stuffed from two burgers I had during the 1st period. The secret is to make large patties, but throw a bit of butter (with tons of garlic and herbs) into the middle so the inside is nice and juicy. the person below me looks for the 'edit' note at the bottom of a post to notice when people forgot to finish their 'the person below me' question.

His line had insane energy tonight.
-
updated. I wasn't happy about either of the goals that Jimmy let past him, but I am very relieved to see that he maintained his composure and remained strong for the remainder of the game.

The Redwings have Voldemort????
-
Wait, this vote isn't for the best goalie right now? Can I change my vote?
-
I wasn't pleased with either of the goals Jimmy let behind him, but it is really reassuring to see him maintain his composure and hold strong the rest of the game. Also, thank god for touch icing

Actually, I agree wholeheartedly. I took the OP's question as 'is this team skilled enough to win the Cup', and didn't really focus on whether they're hungry enough/energetic enough to do so. We're both on the same page, I think.

haha it was all a part of the plan!

5 bucks says Nashville wins in a shootout
-
Of course it goes to OT

Oh definitely. Compare our roster to that which won the Cup a couple years ago. The differences: Hudler 13g 29a Sammuelson 11g 29a Drake 3g 3a Downey 0g 3a Kopecky 5g 7a Chelios 3g 9a Total 25 goals, 71 assists Hasek replaced with: Bertuzzi 15g 15a Williams 3g 5a Helm 8g 8a May 0g 1a Eaves 8g 7a Miller 7g 7a Ericsson 3g 7a Howard total: 44 goals, 50 assists (these aren't prorated numbers to fit an 82 game season. This is just now.) Well that and the core is two years older, but this is the same core that took the team to Game 7 of the SCF only months ago. Trust me, nobody wants to verse the Wings in the playoffs.
