I think the box down low is in response to other teams figuring out the Wings' tendency to pressure the D in the past. When our PP started reverting back from spectacular to average I remember our forwards being too high and having opposing players open in the slot. Actually I think Mickey pointed this out a number of times also.

Tonight is FSN+ isn't it... Also, this game is absolutely crucial. If we win, we're back into a playoff spot and competing for #7. If we lose, we're within striking distance from Minnesota and Dallas.

While you can say that Ozzie (and Howard, also) have been left to dry way too much in any number of games this year, Howard has been finding ways on most nights to keep the Wings in the game. Osgood, whether you want to blame him or not, is having pucks get behind him. Maybe its rust, maybe its that he's old, maybe its that the team doesn't play good in front of him, whatever you want to believe is perfectly justifiable, but in the end when he's in net the puck is in the net also. That alone is reason enough for Babcock to continue to ride Howard.

Right now Phoenix is just barely on pace to make 100 points right now and they are currently 5th in the league. Granted LA is only two points behind them and have a game in hand, so they're in the same boat. Anyway, I don't think the Wings will end up needing 100 points to make the playoffs this year. I'm still expecting them to end up in 4th, but we'll see what happens.

Blowout win for the Wings tonight. I'm not going to accept a tight win after all the s*** they've put us through this past week.
