Hardback. Having a Wings game not televised due to a golf outing or a bull riding competition

Just the guns on my arms!!!! No. The person below me prefers Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds acoustic to DMB (in reality, the person below me prefers neither). The person below me will actually answer the statement in parentheses, and upon reading this, feel inspired to respond to all three statements made about them. The person below me will also be slightly surprised at my insight, and at that point shrug helplessly with a hint of a smile cracking at the corners of their lips and contemplate doing something else besides browsing the internet, simply because of my suggesting it.

Edit: nevermind, sorry for unnecessary bump. In any event, his arbitration date is next week.

No, you already answered that question. I had to google nothing. The person below me often projects the-person-below-me's situation onto the person below them. The person below that found that sentence confusing.

Boy if we had a guy like Bois on our team, surely his overt physicality would've intimidated the Pens so much that they wouldn't have enough room in their bodies for their offensive talents, and players like Hossa and Datsyuk could've absorbed the offensive extract dripping all over the ice to put them over the edge and between their combined efforts score the one goal that the Wings were missing to put game 6 or game 7 of the SCF into overtime, where Dan Cleary would've scored the game-winner shortly after a pep-talk by none other than Danny Bois, or some other enforcer (they're well known for their pep-talk skills) that worst-GM-in-history Holland should've picked up at the deadline. Without a solid enforcer, I just don't see the Wings getting a single second past game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Just won't happen.

I didn't sleep well actually; the second night in a row. I'm hoping tonight (10 minutes or so from now, hopefully) will be better. Freshman year of college I had really bad sleeping problems along the lines of terrible insomnia. It would take hours for me to actually fall asleep, despite how tired I was, and I often woke up repeatedly throughout the night. This went on for probably four or five months, and when I say this, its not the exaggeration that you get from your friends where they're like "man I only got two hours of sleep last night". This was unfortunately as literal as it got for me, and it was unbearable and impossible to function under. The person below me is in love

Interesting article about the cost of recent years trades by wings

Green isn't competent with Red Wings style hockey. In fact, that's what I hated so much about Schneider. -
Real thing. Get that clip-on s*** out of here. Grilled corn with the husk down, or boiled corn with the husk up

Former Russian President, Putin, wants to see KHL expand to Europe
Echolalia replied to CenterIce's topic in General
I don't know what hockey markets they would specifically aim for, but looking at the world clock on my phone, there's a six hour difference from the middle of Europe to the middle of Russia. If coastline countries have any interest in playing, that number could go up to 8-9 hours difference. Granted most notable hockey markets are right around the Eurasia line, but I don't think teams outside that area would be too pleased with a merger of notable hockey leagues and not being included in it. Stock would certainly fall. -
I wouldn't blame him in the least if he wanted a change of scenery or a new challenge to work with. If he waits to be the Wings primary GM, it might be a bit of a wait, and he will most likely be inheriting a strong-built and secure team planning on making a Cup run ala Wings from early 1990s-today. What if he wants to build a team from the ground up? What if he wants to do something now, and not let valuable years pass him by? He doesn't owe the Wings organization anything, no matter how much of a keystone he was in building the franchise to what it is today. Regardless, he will always be my biggest idol.

The travel and time differences will be a mess. -
The more I look at it, the more I like what Chicago is doing. Obviously it sucks that they're most likely going to lose Kane or Towes next year as well as a couple other guys, but they secured their depth for a while and at least have a foundation to work off of for the next couple years. What's interesting is they managed to make 11 of 14 free agents next year RFA's, and they're using that to their advantage. Instead of a Kane/Towes combo, they go for the Towes/Hossa combo + draft picks for Kane to help out the future. It's going to be messy for sure, but I think there's a method to the madness.

What do you possibly get a guy who happens to be the 301st richest American?
-
It seems you will fit right in with us. Welcome!!

Apparently this guy has to pass through waivers to become eligible to play in Grand Rapids this year (or so I've gathered). I lazily tried looking up some information on him, but neither hockeydb nor the griffins site had any stats for him, and a quick google search ended unsuccessfully. As a result, I have no idea whether this kid (man?) is too valuable to risk to waivers or whether he even has a career in the nhl. Any education would be appreciated, both on his past as well as his potential future with the Redwings or nhl.

This is definitely the media trying to blow things out of proportion, and possibly put Wings' fans in the same light as Pens' fans, who were collectively described as holding a grudge against Hossa. Its just a quote, and I promise there's no ill will against the Wings when Hossa said it.

Not so much. When I procrastinate I'm sure to do it to the best of my ability. I don't do things half-assed. The person below sings when no one else is around

How the heck is hockeydb going to work for you, but tell me Ryan Oulahen isn't in their database?? Thanks for the numbers, by the way.

Yeah I thought that Holland's hands were tied behind his back from making any deals until he figures out exactly what happens with the Hudler situation, and subsequently, our cap-space.

What are you top five most anticipated games of the season? 1. Pens at Wings (Mar 22): its the last time that the Pens and Wings match up for the season, so hopefully bad blood will be around from the previous game. This game is also about 10 games away from the end of the season, so it may be crucial to where each of us end up playoff-wise 2. Pens at Flyers (oct 8): The Flyers look like the Ducks in terms of goonery, and under Burke, they might be able to go far into the playoffs with that style of play. It'll be fun to see how they stack up to the Champs, and whether the decide to play to their fullest physical potential. This year, I'm a Flyers' fan. 3. Blackhawks at Detroit (oct 8): First game between the two teams that everyone seems to think will be representing the Western Conference in this year's postseason. It'll also be fun to verse Hossa and Kopecky. 4. Flyers at Boston (Jan 1): Winter Classic! Hopefully some fisticuffs, also. 5. Flames at Wings (Mar 9): I didn't know whether to be more excited to verse the Flames, Ducks, or Sharks, but it seems like the Ducks and Sharks, while still competitive, are on their way down, and the Flames improved in the offseason, imo. I think they're going to be the surprise team from the WC this year, but I could also very well be wrong.

Im sry thate my inferere english anoies u but thx 4 the lessin teach! You're right, my bad. I think its the Duckiness.

Apparently tickets were first provided to Blackhawks' season ticket holders, then Cubs' season ticket holders, then Wings' season ticket holders. As you're technically rooting for the away team, I imagine you'll get what's left of what the Bruins and Sox fans grab up.
