Forsberg is definitely done, and if he did want to come back, I would be worried about injury issues over an 82 game grind/playoffs. Holland could very well be throwing his money away instead of investing it in Forsberg. No, our team isn't desperate enough to gamble on a guy like him. All we need is a third line guy who can chip in physically and on the score sheet.

No matter how good of an idea it is, it will most likely die. I like to think I've had some pretty creative opportunities to allow the water cooler to grow (sometimes these simple response games are a bit repetitive for my taste), but they're all buried now. Start the thread and see what happens. I'll try my best to keep it alive, but its a team effort. The person below me will spend more time in the water cooler than last year during the regular season

I believe if a player signs a contract after the age of 35, then the salary will count against the cap (Kris Draper falls in this category). If a player signs a contract prior to 35, they can retire without their caphit affecting the team.

How's their cap looking? Last I checked they were about 80 million over it.

That isn't really the best-case scenario because the Wings are crippled from making any acquisitions until they know whether Hudler is going to be a Wings or not. If they sign someone now, then its decided Hudler is a Wing, Holland suddenly finds himself over the cap.
