Close. I actually have less than one set of bongos. The person below me enjoys a good play of guitar by the campfire

As some of you may know I am a firm believer that Hiller isn't half as good as his statistics say. Not to say that he is dismal, but I think that he is definitely a product of a superb defensive regime that plays tightly in front of him. There always seemed to be three big bodies perched between Hiller and the faceoff dots to clear away rebounds and fight Wings players for position. They also pressured our forwards like I have never seen before, giving our players very little time and space to work with. What scares me is the thought of Quennville looking at some tapes of how our players were shut down, and applying a Ducks' defensive system to the Blackhawks. Granted, they won't be able to do it as effectively because they don't have Niedermayer, Pronger and the others, but I also have a lot more faith in Khabibulin as a goalie that knows what he's doing in the crease compared to Hiller. My only salvation is that it will be Quennville working on the strategies, which should effectively offset any advising that Bowman may be working on.

He was definitely having a hard time offensively, but as others have already noted, his playmaking and goal scoring abilities only account for half of his game, and defensively I don't think anyone could've asked for anything more. The good news is he doesn't have to worry about the best defense in the league anymore, and hopefully has a little more room to work against the Hawks.

seriously?? I totally missed it!

I can't get over how fast he blew by the Ducks' defense. At our blue line Helm was about a body's length behind either defensman, and by their blueline he was a body's length ahead of 'em. That's just amazing

The way I see it, they can have the game 3 goal or this one.

WC teams won the last two cups, and pretty convincingly against the East as well. Anyway, anyone educated in hockey knows that the West is anything but a weak conference, and if anything, the Western Conference has proven that it has more depth and skill compared to the East (see: East vs West record).

I can't remember for sure, I was flipping back and forth between FSN and VS, but I'm like 90% sure it was FSN

He has a lot of scratches on his face somehow; sorry I don't have a picture

Wings in 5

If the Ducks were 10/10 for your fan-hood, where you would rate the Wings? Just curious.

If the Wings win we'll all kill everyone. Everyone but Ovechkin

That might work to our disadvantage

No one's going to be swinging tomorrow, unless they want to lose five valuable minutes of sixty in an elimination game.

The last time the Wings faced elimination was against the Ducks. Incidentally, Datsyuk scored two goals that game, after going three games without scoring. Now that I think about it, I think its good that the last time the Wings faced adversity it was to this team only two years ago. Everyone knows what they're about to go through, and why they lost two years ago.

Red Wings=sin90 like my sine?

It means I need to get some anxiety pills. But yeah, the Ducks have had the Wings' number this decade for sure, and I feel that tomorrow is their opportunity to redeem that. More importantly, though, tomorrow is an opportunity for our guys to prove themselves as leaders, and I expect every single player that skates tomorrow to take the initiative and do what needs to be done to win. What I'm optimistic about is that the Ducks aren't really getting scoring chances. They're getting goals off of fluky opportunities (ie both goals yesterday). The Wings are applying pressure but can't pick up rebounds or effectively screen the goalie. As it stands right now, I think the Wings are closer to the 3rd round than the Ducks. Hopefully they prove me right.
