I thought he was willing to do it as of the Oscars?

Hossa is on pace for a career high in goals

Who was the last Wings' 50 goal scorer? -
I heard that the pickups were in response to Mike Grier and Jeremy Roenick getting injured. Neither of them are listed on the IR, but Grier has a knee injury and Roenick's is undisclosed. In any event, I don't think Moen and Huskins are really going to do all that much when they verse us. Both the old and new Sharks aren't capable of playing with us when we're at 100%.

I'm content, because this team is a proven stanley cup winning team, and there's nhl caliber-talent waiting to fill in any gaps in Grand Rapids, should we need something. It is somewhat a bummer that today had to be such a boring day for the Wings though. Hearing about trades is always exciting.

The Wings are the team the rest of the world loves to hate. I kind of enjoy that.
-
We won the cup last year with a fraction of the talent we have now. We also have at our disposal our own personal group of acquisitions that can fill just about any role we need in Grand Rapids for free. That is, no loss of current players or draft picks. I promise, we're fine.

Wow I would think Pittsburgh would take this year kind of slow considering how much of their future they lost last year, and they don't even have a guaranteed playoff spot.

Forsberg may steal Wings thunder with 'big announcement'

What a solid career he's had. Its a shame it had to end this way. -
It builds character.

interesting...

Taken from Puck Daddy. The San Jose Sharks are the "frontrunner?" For Jay Bouwmeester? Seriously? He means the Cup, right? Because otherwise .... J-Bouw, Blake and Boyle. Whoa. Detroit Red Wings GM Ken Holland on TSN said it appears his team won't be making a move but "who knows?"

Sorry Eva, I've been there with you since day one, or at least since I've known enough of him to make an opinion.
-
Nobody really looks in the rumor mill, though. At least I don't. Anyway, I've never heard of that site that was reporting Detroit being interested in Clemmenson. Does anyone know how valid it's rumors tend to be? It didn't link to a source of where the rumor came from.

Sharks Pavelski gets a 5 minute major and a match penalty
Echolalia replied to Jersey Wing's topic in General
So the Wings will be one point behind the Sharks with two extra games, so potentially 5 points back. The Wings will need some help to get the top spot, but its not out of the question. San Jose plays a lot of teams fighting for a playoff spot in the Western Conference from here on out. -
I love Ovechkin. Like... love
-
Man I love not having crow taste in my mouth. Been defending him all season, but I didn't expect this kind of production from him this year, even if it is a hot streak.

I don't think one can "over-react" when one is discussing a possible head/neck injury.
-
The Wings look out of it now
-
He's coherent
-
They still haven't moved him. This is not good.
-
I don't know if that should be a penalty
-
s*** that looked bad
-
Geez, it seems like his plan B is always everyone else's plan A. Thank God he works for the Wings.

I don't think Leino could've played any better with the time he had. This kid is going to be a pro next year. 13 games (1st 13 in nhl, mind you): 5 goals, 4 assists, 9 points, +5, 6PIM, 17 shots on net. If these numbers are applied to an 82 game season his stats look like this: 82 games: 31 goals, 25 assists, 56 points, +31, 38PIM, 107 shots on net. This is right on par, if not better than both Datsyuk and Zetterberg's first and second years in the nhl. Now I know as well as anyone here that these are just numbers, and we're working with a small sample size, but there's no denying he has a bright future and I'm cautiously optimistic he may be one of the guys the Wings organization looks to to replace Datsyuk or Zetterberg later on. By the way, besides the horrific game against Nashville, he has only had a negative +/- to end the game only once. I'm also looking forward to finally seeing Ericsson play. I've heard a lot about him.
