Now I gochya, and yes, I totally agree. I'm usually worried about the last 10 minutes of a game and we're nursing a short lead by trapping, because the opposition tends to gain momentum and score unwanted goals, but tonight the wings gave them absolutely no room to breathe. It was wonderful.

I thought the same thing

Vlady was an insane defensman. Theres definitely an argument for best at the time, and a gifted few would have enough evidence to argue best of all time. Unfortunately I think its ridiculous that the limo manufacturer is being sued for all of this

Shouldn't you be updating your sig more often?

I'm not a doctor, but its definitely in the career plans in the near future. If the only symptom reported is mild to severe chronic headaches, then there are hundreds of possible conclusions that can be drawn. There simply isn't enough evidence to come to a reasonable conclusion at this point. Yes, it could be a blood clot in the head, but it could also be a concussion, meningitis, any other of the hundreds of infections both bacterial and viral, migraines of any type, artery inflammation, and/or countless other things.

Its just Cherry being Cherry. He started up the conversation about a group of people ("intellects") wanting to do some graphic for Franzen and pulled up a pic of a donkey, thinking it was a mule. Cherry claims to have corrected them, then went on to say that Mules are castrated, but I think he mixed up what castration and sterile means. Just about everything he says you have to take with a grain of salt. He's more of a comic relief type analyst in my eyes than anything else, with things he talks about having loose ties with actual issues and game events.

I don't think there is much of an argument against commentator bias. You get that with EVERY commentator out there (although I like to think Ken Kal does a pretty good job). Although I have to admit during the Pens Phily game right now, the commentators might as well be wearing Penguins' jerseys with how they're acting. But overall the only complaint I have with them is their general lack of commentating skills.

I think it was the right call

As much as I hate seeing the league's hottest player not play, I'm thinking this might turn out to be in the Wings' favor. Without Franzen to rely on, it forces other scoring sources to step their game up (even though we won tonight, we only scored twice, which is the first time we had less than four goals in a game since the first round). If we can distribute the load onto players like Hudler and Fillpulla (heck, even Helm, apparently), and we make it to the SCF with a healthy Franzen, not only will our defense be unstoppable (given), but we would be rolling on three efficient scoring lines. At least with the glass half full...

Cherry wasn't being serious, and Al wasn't even on the ice (so no different than any other game this postseason), so technically he hasn't broken any rules

I really like Malkin. I personally think he's a better all around player than Crosby, and twice as dangerous. However neither Pittsburgh nor Philadelphia can hold their own in a seven game series against either Detroit or Dallas. I would even be surprised if they walked away with more than a single win in the finals.

I agree that the penalties were generally weak, and say what you want about the refs sending a message that they aren't going to put up with "that crap". Last time I checked "that crap" is a part of hockey, but whatever, the calls could've went either way and theres no point arguing something where both sides have enough support to not budge on their position. Anyway, even without the penalties, the game was pretty one-sided and I hope that it gets more exciting in the future.

Welcome to Letsgowings, and thanks for not being as pompous as some others who drift around. I sincerely believe the winner of the cup this year will be the team that wins this series, and it should definitely be entertaining.

THIS IS WHY GOALIES PADS SHOULD BE SMALLER

holy cow you could feel that from the couch

Man Dallas breaks out so fast; our defense better be ready to clog up our blueline, and our defensive forwards better be working their legs out to be able to keep up assuming we end up playing Dallas.

no hes pefect you take that back or sid the kid will hear and win the stanley cup by himself just to prove you wrong

I read a quote somewhere that I really liked, that I think applies well to the situation "The East is made up of good individuals, whereas the West is made up of good teams". Thats why, like last year, I'm predicting the cup will be won by the champion of the Western Conference Finals, and also like last year, I don't think whoever comes from the East will even have much of a chance against the Western Conference Champion. But maybe I'm just cocky.

the "no goal" that you guys are referring to is when Morrow gloved the puck into the net, right? Why would that be a goal?
