Versus and ESPN are rivals when it comes to broadcasting news, therefore its in each of their best interest to promote sports to their highest potential, so "customers" watch their station over the other. Its kinda like Target and Meijer both selling the same kind of toilet paper, except Meijer in this case ignores everyone with toilet paper needs.
-
I don't know if I would necessarily want to see this in the playoffs, but I definitely am interested to see if these lines have any potential. They're based off everyone's strengths and weaknesses, and I think everyone compliments everyone else on their line well. Homer Datsyuk Kopecky Zetterberg Filpulla Cleary Franzen Samuelson Hudler Downey/McCarty Maltby Draper Lidstrom Rafalski Kronwall Stuart Lilja Chelios
-
Link, hopefully?
-
Stuart is a good pickup. He's played for a bunch of crappy teams his whole career and still put up consistent numbers. Lets give him a real opportunity to show his potential. I think he'll turn out to be a bigger asset than Lilja, Lebda or Chelios.

So are trades being announced still after the deadline, or is everything pretty much done?
-
We were the best team in the league up until February. Then Anaheim picked up Selanne and Niedermayer, and Colorado picked up Forsberg, Foote and Salei (and all the injuries that have plagued their entire season are ending), and Dallas and San Hose each added depth. We didn't improve very much, whereas the next best in the league did.
-
Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Homer and Cleary better bring their A game to the playoffs. Thats all we can really say anymore.
-
NO! I have been trying to explain this to people for like three months! I see absolutely nothing in him, as I do most washed up has-beens.
-
You think they would've used Huet to get Hossa, though?
-
Yeah, and if you have noticed, all the top teams in competition for him have already traded away players for other trades. The Wings are the only team left that have yet to make an actual move, which gets me hoping that Holland is just waiting for Atlanta to lower their prices, because we're the only one's who can afford him at this point.
-
This is getting ridiculous. What is Holland waiting for?
-
Apparently Draper is out
-
I don't mind that Holland is conservative with our prospects, but the thing is the Wings aren't getting any better, because we aren't making any trades, whereas all the other top playoff contenders are trading to make themselves better. So we can be a regular playoff appearance for the rest of eternity and always play it safe to guarantee we'll be at least in the first round next year, or we can take a chance and go for it all. what to do
-
Another blockbuster year for the wings
-
Surely you don't mean... Voldemort!?!
-
This is ridiculous. Its 10 o clock before the deadline and the last trade to occur was almost a week ago. I have an exam to study for and this suspense is really killing me.
-
Teams like Anaheim and Chicago take our trash when we get rid of it. Why the hell would we want our trash back from the "garbage dump"?
-
But now Sammy is on the power play...
-
youtube the good stuff?
-
If we're only scoring one goal over a period of two games, I think every line has problems that need to be resolved. But yes, long term, those guys need to step it up, or leave so we can get Hossa to do their job.
-
Holland has come on the record of saying that money is not an issue in upcoming years.
-
I honestly wouldn't mind seeing either of them go in a trade, although I would prefer Lilja leave first.
-
I can't tell if we're being sarcastic or not
