I can't ever see anything even coming close to how bad the Lindros trade was. Even then, with how much the guy was hyped up it was ridiculous. But there may never've been the heated rivalry that happened between us and the Avs had it not happened.

... but Datsyuk is seven points away from being the league leader in points. With all the high scoring prowess in the league, the big thing seems to be consistency and not getting injured. Dats is definitely not the biggest scoring threat in the league, but he is one of the most consistent, and doesn't get hurt. Alfredson is another, although he has been walking a fine line with injury lately (and that 7 point night definitely helped even things out). Everyone else in the top ten has had problems with injury (Zetterberg, Crosby, Kovalchuk now) or periodically has slumps (Iginla, Lecavalier). I'm not saying Datsyuk will lead the league come the end of the year, but he brings alot to the table, and in many ways those two factors, consistency and avoiding injury, are two of his greatest attributes, and although he does get a lot of publicity for his moves, I think hes still a pretty underrated player all around. Anyway its nice to see two wings in the top 8.

See Western didn't cancel on Wednesday, when we had that ice storm. My residence hall's side door was literally frozen shut (not to mention everyone's car doors), and class was unaffected. WMU owed us one.
-
Oh i definitely don't think Datsyuk will end up on top, or ahead of Zetterberg, I was just pointing out where he stands right now, and for me personally, it was pretty surprising to see him among such elite scoring names, and figured it was worth sharing.

McCarty over Forsberg for a playoff roster spot?
-
You can't get lucky against the Wings and the Sens two years in a row, and the Sens will be making it to the finals.

My fantasy team is so STACKED! Thanks for the heads up, btw

How about Elmer Fudd, that way when the Ducks come to town...
-
Of course Maltby is doing his job; noone has complained the bench is too cold all season
-
Well I'm glad to hear he can still fight (as thats arguably his greatest asset to any team he may be on), and if he's playing Homer-like positions now, that might boost up our 3rd line scoring, because the goalie and defensemen will have to deal with Mac in front, giving room for Hudler and Kopecki or whoever he may pair up with some more room to skate.

Pronger wouldn't dare fight someone who's known for fighting. Seriously, look at his history of people he's fought with. The list is a complete joke. Besides Barnaby (I believe, at least), from like 10 years ago, he hasn't fought with any enforcer/physical player. He cheap shots, then if someone retaliates, if the guy has gotten in less than 5 fights in his career and is 8 inches smaller than Pronger, then he feels it safe to initiate a fight. Otherwise he skates away and continues the cheap shots on someone smaller. Also, the writers at Yahoo say the fight was a draw "Earlier, Pronger and the Red Wings' Dan Cleary drew major penalties for fighting, with both landing hard punches in what essentially wound up in a draw." Although I would give the slight edge to Pronger (even though hes a pansy fighter), Cleary definitely held his own, and gave Pronger a run for his money. I wanna see Downey go at it though. Seriously, someone needs to mess this guy up
-
God when is Pronger going to challenge someone who actually fights? I'd love to see him take on Downey, or anyone in the league for that matter who fights.

Why are all these threads popping up with interest in Fedorov? He's washed up, and hasn't played good since 02. Right now he has 8 goals, 27 points, and is a -4, and you can't use "he's playing for the Jackets'" as an excuse. They're second in the central (we're in first, of course), and we have all agreed that the central division is a much tougher group of teams this year. He has players around him on that team that are capable of playing alongside him. He just doesn't have it anymore. And to give up a prospect and/or player like Hudler for that (Hudler: 11 goals, 32 points and a +13, beating Federov in all categories) theres no logic at all

Nooooooooo not Lilja

Exactly what does Ron Wilson's job entail for the allstar game

A troll is a term coined with people who have a tenancy to participate in forums, irc, etc, just to annoy everyone else and say a bunch of bullcrap. As this member's only two posts are in regard to his inside sources telling him Forsberg is on his way, chances are he is, in fact, a troll. But hopefully I'm wrong.
-
Its an entire article, too. When that happens to anyone else (ie Alfreddson, Heatly, Havlat) its just incorporated into the game summary, maybe lasting a paragraph or two.
-
Forsberg hasn't even skated yet, hows he supposed to know if hes "100%" also welcome to the forums
-
I am really surprised they didn't try to exploit Crosby as a captain. Like, really.
-
Both captains are on my fantasy team this year. So is Lidstrom
-
Babs better have whipped the Wings into shape for this one. I expect nothing less than a victory by a margin of at least 4 goals.

Zetterberg Datz Homer Fillpulla Hossa Forsberg Hudler Sundin Cleary Maltby Draper Downey Elis just because it looks so good on paper
