Keep the pad sizes, keep the net sizes. No amount of change is really going to alter the game all that much, unless you turn the NHL into a dictatorship with ridiculous rules like 'goalies can't fall to their knees to block a shot', or 'you cant play the trap'. Players adapt to what they have to play under. Thats always going to be the case. Back when the NHL was experiencing an offensive explosion a couple decades ago, teams adapted by playing the trap. People decided to shrink goalie equipment to increase scoring, now 2-3 players are trying to block shots in addition to the goalie. If anything, I say we make the rink size wider and spread everything out a little more. I honestly think thats the best bet at "fixing" alot of the "problems" that people have complaints about. But even that would require every arena to adjust their floorplans, which is still asking alot.

The Red Wings organization asked for more time off after road trips to the west. I'm assuming that they at least think that they'll do better with a couple days to rest and get back on clock.

I agree that this post is BS, although I went to Texas once and the family that I was staying with allowed me to watch the Wings vs Stars game on tv. The father of the household got excited when the Wings were scored on, yelling "he shot the puck from out of the blue thing- thats two points!!" This, I promise you, is not BS

As prone to injury as he is, he is everything our team is lacking right now. We wouldn't have to rely solely on the DZH line for victories; heck it might even be worth a second look to break that line up with Forsberg in the roster. Dats, Homer, Filpulla Zetterberg, Forsberg, Franzen I'll admit, I'm skeptical that it will happen and a bit nervous of what we're risking if it were actually to happen, but I know I would have a huge smile on my face thinking of the potential he could bring to the team if he were to sign with us.

Legace can only be blamed so much for the early playoff exit. Our offense was very unimpressive, our entire team wasn't hungry or physical, and we were loosing 9 out of 10 of the "little battles". The entire Red Wing team lost to the Oilers, not just Legace.

Good trivia question. I'm going to go with Shanahan, although I'm pretty sure its incorrect. As for the game, the wings are going to win (of course) 4-2 Homer, Zetterberg, Hudler, Cleary Penner, Penner (only cuz I can't think of any other Oilers at the moment)

I have to admit I'm pretty disappointed with his production so far; especially after his pay raise. My personal diagnosis is that most of his shots are from around/behind the face-off circles, and are generally low scoring opportunities anyway. And when hes close to the net threatening to score, he just can't control the puck enough to do anything with it. He really needs to pick it up though. Instead of settling for shots around the perimeter, he needs to use those skills to get around defensemen, which, I'm well aware, is harder than it sounds.

Whats going to be crazy is when Homer gets the interference call while hes on the bench.

The way Leclaire has been playing, I wouldn't mind if the Wings picked him up, although he isn't a free agent.
