I really don't think Lids would be playing for the money if he extended his contract. It would be purely to win, and he knows the team will have a better chance of winning the less he gets. I wouldn't be surprised if he took somewhere between 5 and 6 million.

I wouldn't say that he was a bust at all for the Preds. He did get injured, which is definitely bad baggage for someone with his history, but even with the on and off injuries, he managed 15 points in 17 games with the preds, and 4 points in their five game playoff run, which was second on the team. The only setback for me personally is his injury history, and the fact that he wants a 3 year deal. Especially after going the past year repeatedly saying that he was contemplating retirement.

I dont think the Coyotes goal occurred with one of their players in the crease, but I could be mistaken. I'm not usually one to directly criticize the refs behavior or judging, but Homer really can't get a break this year. 3 disallowed goals in 9 games; 2 resulting in phantom penalties, and the third just bad luck.

Cleary isn't a top goal scorer or a solid first line player by any means, but what he brings to the ice every night is absolutely essential to the Wings, and can easily be the difference between a Stanley Cup championship and a late exit. Lock this guy up.

Hes going to choke. If he cant produce in the AHL where players like Ellis can captain a team, he doesn't stand a chance in the nhl. Especially if hes going to get 4 minutes a game on the 4th line

I really can't see much of an argument against Zetterberg. He is still averaging almost 2 goals a game, a solid defensive mindset, can read plays as good as the best of them, and can set up his line mates with very good scoring chances. Of course we're only 9 or so games in, so its really unfair to the rest of the league to be judging who the best player is

This seems like it would be more trouble than its worth. theres the added hassle of replacing the batteries (which apparently only last two games), its not adding any benefit if every individual has this technology, and i can't imagine the ice would even be nice to skate on after 15 minutes of 12 thermal blades constantly streaking around. But what especially worries me is flying fast into the corner and loosing an edge, due to the decreased amount of friction. maybe its just me, but whats wrong with what we got, and what can thermal blades really provide us that normal blades cant?
