Once again, I don't consider that an official source, but its not looking to promising... -
TSN reporting Lebda has suffered concussion
Echolalia replied to omnipotent_hudler's topic in General
I'll give you that solely on the fact that half the refs in the league will look at it legally, whereas the other half would've dished out the 2 minute minor. Please explain to me how his past 'cleanliness' has anything to do with sucker-punch justification, and for that matter, please explain to me how concussion-wielding sucker-punches are justifiable. Cuz its the playoffs. -
TSN reporting Lebda has suffered concussion

Ha, I'm at WMU right now Also: How reliable is that chick's blog that someone posted here earlier? Aside from that, there are no official statements that Lebda has a concussion, including TSN, which supposedly stated on air that he does have one. Until I see a link to a reliable source, or am convinced that that blog is reliable, I'm going to assume Lebda will be playing tomorrow. -
He has playoff hockey written all over him

I bet. I can only imagine how many trolls their getting after that game.

TSN reporting Lebda has suffered concussion

C'mon, hes been one of the best Calgary fans out there, and he'll be the first one to admit when his team is doing something wrong. He's in no way a homer. The Lebda hit could've gone either way. Discretion of the ref. The retaliation, however, should be penalized. -
How about Cheli?

TSN reporting Lebda has suffered concussion

I've read no solid evidence that Lebda has a concussion as of yet, but its not ruled out either. Babcock may have wanted him off the bench for his protection (ie keep all valuable players off the ice, leave all the tough guys in the ice who can best handle cheap shots and punches) It was a suckerpunch, and it was heavy, and a retaliation. We don't need that in the league and I will honestly be surprised if he doesn't get at least a one game suspension. Their goalie is clearly gone. Probably for a while. Iginla will stay mostly so the game is exciting and keep fans watching. If Iginla is gone as well as Langkow, the series is over. -
So what happened to Lebda? How is he doing after the suckerpunch?

Bahahahaha Theres nothing else to say

FIrst Dats puts the whopping on Phaneuf, then he puts the whopping on Kippursoft
-
Phaneuf just got rocked by Datsyuk

I was playing nhl 98 a couple weeks ago, and Yzerman got a minor penalty for 'abusing the ref'
-
Dear Calgareffs, Even though you suck, we're still kicking your ass. Sincerely, Redwings
-
Bahaha, Lebda throwing the body around
-
arite guys, 20 solid minutes of hockey, then hit the hottubs to relax!
-
So does anyone know what they we're chanting??
-
I'm not one to blame the refs for a loss, but if this ends with us losing by one goal, I'm going to raise hell to the nhl.

Actually it is pronounced San Hose, but you're right, i did spell it wrong. Oh, and pronounced is spelled PROnounced. With a Pro, not a per. I have all the faith in the world that we can beat them, as we did have no trouble beating Nashville in all the games that mattered. But what I was trying to get across was that I would much rather lose to a top Stanley Cup contending team rather than an 8th seeded team for once. Oh, and they did beat Nashville, who were one of the favorites for winning the cup this year, so obviously they're a good team.
-
I always thought a good drinking game would be to drink every time Crosby's name is praised during a game.
-
Please be Samuelson and not Calder.
-
Well if we do end up versing San Hose in the next round and loose, I will feel much less angry at the world than if we fall to Calgary or Dallas. San Hose is a top-notch team.

excellent work. 4 to 1 wings. We'll stay out of the box, outhustle them and finally score on the powerplay. Even strength play will be the same with us dominating the entire game.
-
Hes making the saves against breakaways, and I'm not going to bash him for letting in powerplay goals (except the Iginla incident), but the two full strength goals he let in we're easily within his skill to stop. He was positioned badly against the Iginla shot and allowed the opening on the far side. As for the shot that was deflected, he needs to throw his entire body in front of the puck, not just a glove- ESPECIALLY when there's no one near you to tip anything in. They were two careless plays that led to two eventual losses.

damn. That hurts my bracket, not to mention it would've been awesome to beat Nashville ourselves instead of someone else doing our dirty work for us.
