You mean besides our horrible power play and the use of Sammy on D, right?
-
I miss Kronwall
-
He was a leader by example, not so much by words. Hes a pretty quiet guy and I don't know how successful he would be as a coach.
-
The wings faults: 1. Power play is weak and we can't set up in their zone, let alone get a shot off. 2. Penalty killing is weak, although arguably better than the power play. 3. Dominik Hasek needs to keep his cool and play the game. 4. Robert Lang. Every other category we are flawless. In every single game we've come out as the harder team, and we were winning the small battles 4 out of 5 times. We're throwing the body around (I've gotten quite used to hearing "Datsyuk hits whoever") and we're creating chances in front of the net. 5 on 5 our defense has been pretty solid, and I'll argue that both even strength goals Calgary scored were quite within Hasek's skills to stop, but even without him stopping those shots; thats two even strength goals in 4 games. With that said, I'm going to go ahead an say this series is in the bag. It always has been. We just need to buckle down on our special teams and keep playing the way we've been playing. Calgary didn't win two games. We lost two games.

He plays smart enough hockey to make up for his physical failingness. Besides, he'll be a GREAT mentor to younger defense coming into the league.

Hasek's time has past. Hes still a solid number 1 goalie, but hes in his 40's and his prime is long since gone.

Time warp: 2001, wings lose in 6, give up 2-0 lead

We have some pathetic wings fans on this forum. We have lead the series the entire way. Nobody said it was going to be easy. Hell, 90% of you predicted a wings win in 6 or 7 games anyway, why the hell are you surprised and scared? The series is EVEN. EEEEVVVEEENNN. That means there is no advantage either way. If anything the advantage goes to us because we have the next home game, something the Flames have sucked at far more than we have. So everyone just calm down and quit it with the 'Wings can't win any game after game 2, were doomed' bulls*** -
The point difference between the 1st place team and the 8th place team is about as small as its ever been. The whole concept of the 8th seed sucking and not even deserving to be in the playoffs couldn't be farther from the truth. Look at last year's Oilers. 8th seed Stanley cup finalists. Earlier than that 8th seed Anaheim Stanley Cup finalists (with Mike Babcock might I add). Well this year the point difference is even closer. So get you're panties unknotted and look at this clearly. The series is even. The next game is a home game. We have been dominating them every game (as I previously showed to you), especially the home games. We need to work on our special teams and that is all.

Once again, I don't know what games you've been watching. Game 3, Cleary laid a huge hit on Phaneuf, and if I recall correctly the wings sit at 1st place in the post season with the highest checking average. In addition to that, we just outshout them again and we were winning the battles in the corner. We outworked them. They only had 1 goal during even strength, and that brings the 4 game total to 2 even strength goals. How can you possibly say we're being outplayed if the Flames can only manage a .5 even strength goals-for average? The issue is painfully obvious: our special teams are weak. Enough said, end of argument.

I don't know what games you've been watching, we've have tons of spirit out there.
-
I believe it was his call to switch Bertuzzi and Fillpula, which resulted in both of our goals tonight, with Fillpula with a couple great chances. We outplayed Calgary tonight, the only reason they won was because of two cheap 5 on 3 penalties that they took advantage of. Us on the other hand, cant even get the puck deep into their zone, let alone a good shot on net with our power plays.
-
I think we got dominated the last third period, but I'm with ya, we still have 20 minutes of hockey left, and as long as the officials let us play, maybe we'll get some more numbers on the board.
-
Both their goals were heavily assisted by us 1st a 5 on 3 2nd a deflection We're earning ours and forcing their defence to break down, and thats exactly why we're going to win
-
Regehr brought it upon himself. He wasn't 100% yet. And in all honesty I will be suprised if/when Phaneuf plays tonight. They way he reacted (ie. no idea where he was, loosing balance, etc) was full of signs of concussions, and if he skated (stumbled) away from that hit without rattling his brain up, then he really is a lucky man.

Roses are red violets are blue To all Flames fans: we're scoring on you

Pre-GAME 4: (4/19) Red Wings @ Flames - 9:30 PM EDT
Echolalia replied to Must Kill's topic in General
I've been wondering that for some time, myself... And I like that article- it exposes the Lang line and its flaws. Especially Lang's. -
If I had the money, not only would I buy a lower bowl playoff ticket, I would be rallying the crowd and getting them pumped. Unfortunately I'm a college student with a 10,000 dollar debt, and in the midst of finals...

qft

Haha Ref A: "No ice, No ice, No ice, No ice!" Ref B: "Toot!" *15 seconds later* Cleary "Jam Jam Jam" Ken Daniels "SCORE!"
-
Wow lang has the only shot from a forward tonight
-
The wings better win this one. I'm sacrificing valuable study time for my chem exam tomorrow
-
Wings need to pick up the pace and apply some more pressure to Calgary. We aren't skating playoff hockey out there
-
This is really sloppy

no she doesn't. Also: Bahahaha @ her opinions

Shes a joke. Also, I'm too lazy to go back in the GDT to look for my answer, but whats the word on Regehr? Game time decision? Edit, found it.
