SO i called my friend to tell him the news: turns out hes AT THE PRESS CONFERENCE and he just got to talk to Datsyuk Lidstrom and some other player and got their autographs.

I have to say I'm happy with this deal. Every season Datsyuk has gotten better and better, and even last night against Chicago I saw some hustle and leadership from him that I've never seen before. Nobody said he would stop getting better after 07, he's still growing into a more complete hockey player and I personally believe he has yet to hit his prime. 7 Years with Datsyuk- Holland is obviously wanting to build around him. I'm sure Zetterberg will be in the wings future as well, especially with the rising salary cap rumors. Besides didn't the islanders or some team just sign a goalie for 13 years?

I really really wish it ended up as Flames vs Preds and Colorado vs Oilers. As much as I would love to vs Colorado... the Oilers really have been sucking, and the Flames are starting to get pushed against the wall
