Calder could be up for grabs?

a source at hockeynations reports that Calder and the Hawks are far apart in negotiations and that he will most likely be rewarded more than Wirtz is willing to pay, so I propose we trade Williams and Hudler for Calder, or something like that... Calder is a winger we could use and it is rumored that Wirtz would like a second line center in return for him... I just can't see us trading Lang for Calder is all, that's why I put in Williams/Hudler

I like Calder, but I'd just trade Williams for him straight up. He isn't worth anymore than Williams. You have to keep in mind too that it depends on how Williams's contract situation turns out.

I don't know what it is about Chicago's crop of youth that they had come up. The Hawks were supposed to be the next big thing in the West with Bell, Calder, Arnason, Daze, and Ruutuu. But none of their prospects have panned out for them. Arnason never really put up great numbers, and neither has Calder. Bell has always been the exception but even he's been streaky. Ruuttuu and Daze have consistently been on IR. It's tough luck for the Hawks. As of right now they've got a pile of talented young D to be hyped about.....but without any young offense to help them out it probably won't be long before we see their D-men scattered throughout the league as well.

What's even more scary is that you guys are looking at rumors that are about a year old. I feel your pain though, I can hardly wait until training camp starts.
