i know, i know... he plays for a different club but it sure does look great to see him skating with our boys in traverse city... would anyone besides me be completely ecstatic if samsonov ended up joining detroit?

i placed this in rumor mill because there obviously are no reports of a trade, yet i just love watching samsonov in a wings jersey... it's quite nice actually.

I was very surprised that Holland didnt sign him. I wouldnt have minded it. He may not have addressed our needs right now, but he wouldve been a nice piece to add to our core. He's only 27 I beleive.

i thought samsonov always did some preseason workouts with the wings, regardless of which team he has played for.

am i wrong? i think hes been doing this for years.

I think he lives in Detroit...he played minor league here before being drafted and if I am correct met his wife in Detroit.

maybe i should have clarified, i know WHY he's here but i was just curious how people would feel with him as a red wing. you're right, this isn't his first time in DRW camp, and probably not the last.

personally, i just love seeing him skating with the wings. i remember his play with the old vipers franchise and he was a treat to watch.
