Andy Pred 48 337 Report post Posted November 19, 2006 I suppose losing half of last season roster hasn't helped down at Van Andel but the current slump in results must be a major concern for the coaching staff. Only picking up 1 point from the last 14 have seen them slide to 4th in the division and 21st overall. Kip Miller at the age of 37 is leading the scoring charts for them with a point a game, not a bad return from the veteran but he seem's to have a limited supporting cast. Maybe the loss of 6 of the 8 20+ goalscorer's has hit them hardest but with the guys that had been signed surely they would have expected to be performing better than they are. Hopefully this is just a minor hiccup but with the high flying Wolves in town next, it's not getting any easier.

Icer 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2006 Missing a chunk of your roster doesn't help. Several players were called up to the Red Wings to cover for injuries. Liv, Bootland, McGrath, and Norton were all missing at some point during this losing streak.

Most people thought not making the wings would have made him work harder, but I guess not. I will give you missing Mcgrath hurt us, and I'm not sure about Norton yet. This team just needs to start playing like a team...and maybe kill a PP, or two. I just really, really, really do not want to see Chicago beat us... The arena better be loud on Friday.
