datsyukchick 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2007 Do they regularly have 'meet and greets' at their hotels when on the road? Does anyone know where they stay at while in Columbus? I'm going to the April 1st game, maybe I'll play stalker..
Barrie 900 Report post Posted March 5, 2007 That's cool, it's always awesome seeing a player off the ice. Lang lives right by my friend in Birmingham. Last year I saw Rip Hamilton at Best Buy, I didn't say anything though. I wouldn't know what to say either. I'd be to nervous.
The_Cub 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2007 Do they regularly have 'meet and greets' at their hotels when on the road? Come on now. We are talking about the same team that has one maybe two open practices per year. Anyways Robert Lang seems like a really funny guy.
RedWingNut78 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2007 I met Holmstrom, Chris Osgood, Brett Hull and Curtis Joseph at the Troy Sports Arena. I met them all at separate times of course, but it's always fun to talk to them. The best one was meeting Sean Avery at Cheeta's in Windsor though. He was spending a lot of singles that night. l
Guest LivingtheDream Report post Posted March 7, 2007 Is it Czech law you have to name one of your kids Jiri? I know I'm one to talk with a name like Brian, but there are certainly alot of Jiri's We should rename some of them Rex I'll take that over another Dakota, Madison or Brandon. Gees people, what has happened to good names! Jiri works for me! Rex too for crying out loud. Brian as well darn it, it is a good name!!!
kelli 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2007 Birmingham. Where is that located? Where in the Detroit area? Is that where most of the players live?
Sleight 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2007 I'm surprised he wasn't too lazy to sign an autograph But seriously, after analyzing the autograph would you say it sucks? But in all seriousness that is pretty cool. I remember when I met Pedro Martinez in the men's room at TGI Friday's in South Beach. He's really the only athlete I've ever met, except for the wrestler Mick Foley (not sure if that counts as an athlete). I also met Aaron Lewis from Staind one time, he was at a Magic show I was opening for and came up to me after and tried to get a trick out of me so he could impress people with it...which you can imagine was ridiculous because Magicians never tell. Okay so i gave in, I taught him something very basic and he gave me a 2 tickets to his show the next night and a bunch of stuff, it was pretty cool.
