stactum 4 Report post Posted April 16, 2007 I am new here but I gotta say... The only reason these Goon fans are being nice is becuase their team is not fairing so well. After each game they say wait till Iggy comes back on Sunday. Or wait till Iggy gets home on Tuesday. Well I will keep on waiting. Igs is good. Great, not quite. Skill level yes he is great. Well Iggy is a scrub in my book. I don't give a doodoo what he does off the ice. I won't hang with him and I don't know him anywhere but on the ice. He is a glorified goon. Okay you all continue with your Calgary love fest. I wonder if ya'll would be so "loving" if we lose tuesday. God Forbid. I still think we have to respect each other, no matter what... I am ecstatic about Wings winning and no question question about that I personally don't like Iggy, but I'd like to have him on our team. I just know we need to win 2 more games in this series. When Calgary beat Detroit a couple of years ago, there was a far different tone on this site- Trolls don't come out to play when their team is being beaten into a bloody pulp. I'mjust sayin... I'm kind of on the fence about the whole being nice issue? Is it really Calgary fans being nice to us because the Wings have been dominant in the 1st two? Or is it simply because they are respectful, and that's all there is to it? I seem to remember last year we had a lot of Edmonton fans on the boards as the Wings were getting throttled, and A LOT of them we still VERY classy... Well I for one was here in 2004. Most of the Flames fans didn't gloat, or disrespect the Red Wings in anyway. It was a tight well fought series, unlike the ownage in games 1 and 2 of this series. You will always have some morons trash your team no matter what, we have some of those visits on Calgarypuck since the series started, but it is easy to spot and remove those trolls. If pigs start flying, hell freezes over, or the Flames win the next four in a row, my tone on this board won't change, although my depression level might. In fact I saw an interview from when his cotract was up a few years ago and he took LESS to stay with the Flames--good job looking out for the smaller market Canadian teams! That's part of what makes hockey so cool--that it isnt all about LA and NY. He was also quoted as saying,"what do I need more money for, I make millions to play a game I love." Good guy. I wouldn't really consider anyone that is here NOW a troll- trolls don't appear on visiting forums when their team is getting beat, badly.
