clutchngrab 12 Report post Posted April 30, 2007 Cups are won when the big players are big and the role players go beyond. Clears has been awesome. Just like Drapes, Kocur, Mac and Malts were in the past. This year we have Flip, Franz, Clrears and Huds. These guys can be the difference.

Guest Tunbo Batman Report post Posted April 30, 2007 lol, the Red Wings MAgic TM has worked : a "disappointment" and and "undrachiever" has become a great player again i wonder if we could salvage Kovalev and Samsonov's careers, after the Habs have wrecked them? YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted April 30, 2007 While I do think Cleary has been one of our best players, I dont agree that the Wings would have "little chance of advancing without him." Clearys getting a lot of metion now - and rightfully so - but hes part of a group of lesser-names (Franzen, Filppula, Lebda, Lilja) that have been working their asses off to get us where we are in combination with the big guns. I do think Cleary is irreplaceable at this point though.

What impressed me most about him then was that hit on Pronger. He was trying to give a hit, or he took one, and he was upended and he landed on his head and he kept on skating. He is one tough cookie, sort of like Stevie in a way with his heart. HE always comes back for more no matter what happens. I love his grit and speed. I think that will benefit him in the playoffs. I think the turning point for him offensively was the SHG Penalty shot and then that helped him in the SHG. He is having the time of his life and he appreciates everything that he has. That you can't help but appreciate.
