If Buffalo had faced Calgary in round one, with the way they were playing, I wouldnt have been surprised to see them out in the first round. Buffalo has elevated their game every so slightly for each series and STILL they are playing like a fraction of the team they are. puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 I am shocked at the way Buffalo is playing. They are SO much better than this. They are just giving the series away to Ottawa. I am also surprised at my friends in Buffalo and their reaction to the team's losses. That loud thumping sound you hear from Western NY is people jumping off the Sabres' bandwagon. I mean, yes, it's disappointing, but come on, it's hockey. I stick with my team to the end, even when things are bad, though I understand their disappointment. If the worst happens, and the Wings don't go all the way this year, I will not love them any less. Not saying the Sabs fans are any less devoted, but stuff happens... everyone can't win. kozac 10 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 Does Ottawa hit like all 3 of our western opponents? I haven't really watched alot of them but from what I have seen they don't really hit. They play speedy hockey which i think would play into Detroit's hands honestly. The wings need a series like that...if we can get there. Yes they hit... a lot... they're scary. Don't think that Buffalo is rolling over, give all the credit to Ottawa.
