Funniest comment from a Ducks fan

Please ignore justtheducks. I don't like to call people morons or anything, but this guy has shown idiocy to the very end. It's really making me want to puke. Not all of us Ducks fans feel like this. There were several members on the Ducks site that wanted Pronger to be suspended. Just because we're Ducks fans doesn't mean we all think he should be innocent.

in the ducks forum they were also calling maltby a dirtbag for his accidental high stick because he didnt skate over to Getzlaf and see if he was ok. Mind you ducks fans are making tons of excuses why their team is down 2-1 in the series.

I'm not sure if this is kosher or not, but I saw the following obnoxious comment on the Ducks forum:

To summarize, Pronger opening up Homer's forehead on a "questionable" hit from behind into the boards is not suspension worthy. Hasek's waterbottle is the real crime here.

Some Duck fan just a little frustrated that there team won't be making it to the Stanley Cup Finals this year. <_<

I was really impressed with the fact that everyone kept there composure after things got a little harry. Classy move on our behalf bringing Holmstrom back for the 3rd period of the hockey game.

This is almost as bad as another Duck fan saying the following:

Three Issues From The Game

1) With the Wings up 4-0, why was Hasek ******** (rhymes with witching) to a linesman (at 3.3 seconds left in the 2nd Period) and to a referee (at the end of the 2nd Period) on obviously some trivial play around him. That's called Hockey.

2) The Wings had a great game. They showed up to play, while the Ducks didn't. (Note: I'm a big Ducks fan that stayed to the end of the game before leaving the Honda Center.) Captain Scott wasn't his usual self at the very least. Good thing the Ducks nabbed one in Detroit already.

3) If there is any solace in this beating that was dealt this evening ... at least the Anaheim Ducks have better fans than the self-titled "Hockeytown" team. With a streak of 29 consecutive sell-outs now (and counting) ... "support" is not a word in the Detroit fan's vocabulary.

After I read number three I almost s*** myself because I forgot how stupid humans can be. I think our streak ended at 452 consecutive sellouts, and 19,000 something tickets sold is pretty damn close.

I agree with everything except #3 obviously.

Hey Ducks fans, its called getting your ASSES handed to you. Enjoy it, we're not done yet

Yep he's a Red Wings fan alright...that's my medical diagnosis...might want to give him a dose of revenge if it's available.

I was at the game last night, and most of their fans are classless losers. Seriously, when the third goal was scored, the fans started pouring out. It was the 2nd period, barely half the game was over and because they were down 3, the fans decided to no longer to support the team that their supposedly "true fans of". You're supposed to support your team no matter what, not love them when their doing good and hate them when their doing bad.....to me, thats seriously disgusting and shows that most of these "fans" are just riding the bandwagon. Anyway, I'll be at tomorrow's game too

BTW, couldn't help posting this great comment from a duck "fan":

"I'm beginning to believe all the conspiracy theories on these boards about the NHL wanting Detroit to win. I still have hope like I said, but reality tells me we are done. I just hope we slightly injure (groin pulls, broken fingers, upper body injuries) the Red Wings enough, so several of there players have there season shut down and Ottowa or Buffalo wins. Am I being a poor sport!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope so. " -Goon

I don't see Red Wings fans loving their team after a 5-0 beating....you guys hated your team after the 2-1 WIN!!! lol

the "unwritten rule" of makeup calls to give the other team a chance, is pure and simply, completely, 100% stupid as s***. it doesn't belong in hockey.

the game is the game, make up calls are for sissies and beer leagues

YES MY NO MAKE UP CALL COMRADE!!!!

I personally HATE everything about socal except the weather. Socal fans are the worst fa ns in sports in the world! Theres just alot more to do in Socal then anywhere else in America.

L.A. does love a winner.

Without going off too hard, I totally agree with your view on Southern Cali. So many people are here to further their careers, school, or make money but don't plan on staying long. Because of that everyone here seems really miserable, and the majority of the people that do live here permanently are either rich (5%) or living day to day (95%).

It's too bad that a one bedroom goes for an average of $1100-$1600, and that's barely getting close to the ocean.

From Long Beach, I would totally have to time my drive if I wanted to go to a Kings or Ducks game, and would even have to stay the night unless I wanted to pend four hours in traffic.

I think that kind of escalates the "fair weather" attitude that DOES exist down here, as I would probably be beyond pissed if I was a Kings fan. I think a lot of the cheering/booing that is questionable to fansof other markets is due in a large part to fans being frustrated by driving two hours, parking for another hour, and then losing 5-0 at the pond. I think the non-game related stress really adds to a lot of issues that other fans see.

However, there are a lot of die hard Ducks fans. I know quite a few. And there are a lot of classy Ducks fans as well. Just like any arena, the playoffs do breed bandwagoneering and retardation.

The year before last, some random bandwagon Sharks fans booed the Canadian anthem after mistakenly thinking that Calgary booed our anthem the previous game. The Sharks organization actually released a statement about the "bad apples". The flaming on the internet and the conversations in bars were really anti-Sharks fans, which was too bad, since 99.9% of our fans are very knowledgeable and hospitable to other visiting teams.

So I think this thread should die.

I saw the same things going on during the Sharks/Preds series after their dirty hits, in which nobody was permanently injured.

Follow the lead of the players. If they can blow it off and come back out and play, the very least the fans can do is follow suit. But feel free to boo Pronger. It's all in fun and part of the game.

EDIT: this thread is why I'm here and support this forum.
