Giguere is good with his angles. Maybe the best in the game. You get him moving laterally, he's a joke.

You would think if that were the case then your team could capatalize on it. On to game 6,but don't expect tons of open ice. This game is gonna be a mirror image of the last, tough sledding.

I'm really surprised Detroit hasn't exploited Giggy's vulnerability when it comes to lateral movement. Take the 5-on-3 powerplay you guys had in Game 2, Lang got the puck to either Clearly or Datsyuk, and the quick pass threw Giggy off, and the Detroit player had a WIDE OPEN GOAL. That's okay though, please keep shooting it at him!

Giggy is on a roll right now, but we must help him out. We can't expect to win if Detroit keeps outshooting us 2-1, and our defense is not omnipotent. Beauchemin, Marchant, and Pahlsson, are non-marquee defensive specialists, are playing their hearts out. Our offense? Sloppy, turnover-prone, and lacking in the shot department. We need to get everyone involved and send ourselves to the SCF.

best Duck:

1. Getzlaf. I wish he plays in Winged Wheel some day

then:

2. Scott Niedermayer. had some bad bounces, but overall is playing very solid and mean at times.

3. Beauchemin. he has some unlucky bounces, but in the end he's the one who contains Homer and this is one of those main reasons why Wings can't just win those god damned games.

4. Moen. really efficient and hard working guy

5. Giguere. his abilities has been blown out of proportion, and he's by far not that good as many people think (for the reasons already stated in this topic). but together with his D-men he's able to make other team shot head to head, and then his positioning is (mostly) perfect. and for this he deserves some credit

6. Pahlson. very fine when matched against Drapes. meaybe not that good ofensively, but still a guy to watch out

7. Selanne. yes, I know he couldn't score first 3 games. but he was always there providing pressure on Wings net and doing some creative play.

8. DiPenta. pretty solid for a 5th defenseman (correct me if I'm wrong, though)

9. Huskins. logging some minutes and not screwing it up. not too shabby for the 6th defenseman.

and now from the very bottom:

1. Rob Niedermayer. absolutely sucks ass. takes dumb penalties, screws up plays, takes unnecessary runs on Wings players, etc. sure, he had luck to score a goal, but this doesn't change a lot. most atrocious Ducks players by a margin.

2. Pronger. dumbass knows perfectly well when to pick stupid penalty and leave his team shorthanded. and he whines about Canadian media and blames them for suspension. here's a message to you *******: stop running people's heads and nobody will ever mention suspension. quite simple, even for your tiny brain, isn't it?

3. Perry. except for Game 1 the guy is invisible. frankly, for a 1st round draft pick you expect more

4. McDonald. not exactly a force in this playoffs. and even playing with Selanne doesn't look as he was doing something useful

5. Marchant. 2.5M$ salary for a no-show? puhlease...

I just wanna thank mr lidstrom and mr lilja...awesome performance..

this would be the allducks.com level. at LGW we usually use our brains to discuss hockey

and not type something during commercials between subsequent Disney cartoons in TV.

now clean your teeth, say your prayers and go back to watching your fairy tales, kid!

your pretty right on with all of ur players here except dipenta...he tends to turn the puck over quite a bit...and marchant has definetly been a factor in this series...game 4 perfectly screened hasek on the getzlaf goal and game 5 came outta no where to prevent holmstrom from putting a goal in...he is one of the top penalty killers on the team...rob has come up with some big plays in the playoffs from the a goal on backstrom to the hit he layed on hansen in game 5 against vancouver...and scored that goal in game 2...and pronger well whatever say about him people will disagree but if he was on your team you would love him to...perry has been a key duck in the regular season and in the vancouver series just not so much here...mcdonald well u know what he did...

not gonna argue on that. I usually watch this games with thoughs like: "kill these bastards in white/black/golden" not looking to admit their skills, etc. that would be based on loose observations not a deep study

I tend to disagree with Wings going for Pronger. one of Hollands keys to bulding a team is digging for team players and getting rid of those who develop bad chemistry or simply don't play team game.

and pissing off about some calls or oposing team plays, and then taking dumb penalties is not playing team game. not to take anything from Pronger because he still posesses a good set of skills, but he has potential to be a cancer in the locker room and most important: on the ice.

is this thread a question (as one would guess from its title) or a cover-up for ppl writing praises of Ducks with zero tolerance to different opinions?

I wrote my opinion about Pronger. you disagree. I'm OK with that. then stop f* gooning me about that and convincing you have the only right.

thank you
