Opie 308 Report post Posted June 22, 2007 Story on ESPN Emery is expected to miss 2-3 months, meaning he'll miss most of training camp, but be ready for the start of the 2007-08 season. I have no experience with wrist injuries, but I remember ozzie's hand injury, it took him awhile to get back to form, is there a possibility that Ottawa will need to pick up a goalie, or do you guys think they will go with Gerber to start the season? Or will he be fine opening day? The article just says it is for torn tendons, I have to imagine that if this is his glove hand he may not be as good as he was last year, at least to start the season. puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted June 22, 2007 (edited) Hope Ray's surgery is successful. As for Gerber, he'll be second fiddle in Ottawa from now on. Emery is the man. I feel kind of bad for Gerber, but he won't ever be #1 there unless Ray is physically unable to play.
