everyone quit whining!

Here's the problem: The Wings are once again too small to compete in the playoffs.

Didn't seem to be a factor this year. The only size the Wings lost is Bertuzzi who played 7minutes a night. Kopesky can help fill that void. Markov gone kinda hurts, but I'm sure there's another top 6 physical dman to be had by the playoffs. No worries.

Well put elriqo28.

A lot of the people here are just as bad as Leaf fans with all the crazy.

Holland and the others know exactly what they are doing and when you actually stop to think about it we are in great shape. Most of our top guys are locked up we have a few needs that will be addressed either now or during the season.

Personally I hope Holland keeps that 9 mil and waits until trade deadline day in March and then gets someone that can really help win the Cup.

This would be fine with me. I'd rather do this than sign some scrubs and leave only $1mil left for the deadline as per usual.

and all those pieces of the team that they let go, those were the ones who did anything in the playoffs???...besides schneider, i don't see them losing much, and they got a younger tougher scoring d-man for less

Rafalski a scoring D man?

He has like 40 career goals.

Although I love having him here, and wanted him 2 years ago, he isnt exactly a scoring D man.

He also has 311 career points. Forsberg has never scored 40 goals. Would you consider him a "scoring forward"?

Incidently, Rafalski has more points per game in his career than Matty Schneider.

Or the Brew Crew. :sly:

But thats a whole other thread.

NFM, I can't bring it in my heart to root for the Brew Crew until they bring back that kick-ass M-B "mitt" logo from the 80's that reminds me of Molitor, Yount, Ogilvie, Cooper, Simmons, etc!

As for THIS thread, I am ALLOWED to whine! FA 2007 is not too much fun so far.....

They did. Every Friday home game is "Retro Friday". The team wears those unis. Check out MLB Extra Innings or Sportscenter (Ack ESPN  ) after their next Friday home game.

That is awesome! I will check it out my second all time favorite logo behind the Old English D, here's to the Brewers/Tigers 2007 World Series!

And just so I'm not derailing the thread, I'm still whining about free agency!!!

Rafalski has 44 goals for his ENTIRE career. Im pretty sure Foresburg has a few more than that.

And Rafalski is an upgrade over Matty no doubt but he isnt exaclty a scorer.

This is why I'm worrying:

Last season, we didn't do so well. We can look through with fan-colored goggles on, but we had too many bad streaks and won a lot of close games. The playoffs were great, but we could definately improve on our regular season. Now we've lost a huge chunk of our team. You can say they didn't contribute or mean anything all you want, but they all did have big plays, and they all played a role well, and now there's hardly anyone left on the market that is decent enough to replace them. That's what I'm more concerned about. You think Kozlov is going to play anywhere near the level Calder did at the end of the season?

I do so love it when somebody uses knowledge of facts and statistics to absolutely feed somebody a big old s*** burger to eat.

Check out the lowest scoring teams over the past 7-10 years. I think Jersey will be right at the top of those lists almost every year. In case you didn't know, New Jersey hasn't been an "offensive" team for over a decade. That being so, none of their players score what we'd consider alot of points. s***, on a team like that Crosby would be lucky to score 85 points a year. Get it?
