Either the new NHL doesn't work for him, or his rookie season was a total fluke. However, I am kind of tired of putting all of our faith in really really old players. Hasek is my favorite goalie of all time. Period. Even before we traded for him, but i'm tired of worrying about his groin. Not to mention, if Howard doesn't eventually pan through, we don't really have a goalie of the future. Hnidy would purely be a depth move, since I've never heard anything impressive about him. That being said, where did you hear this info? It was a garbage Eklund rumor that he has since taken down. Raycroft has always been a weak PK goalie. With more PKs in the new NHL, it's exposed that more. He's also got a poor glove hand caused by poor timing and always butterflying to stop shots. After his Calder season, the NHL shooters figured that out. There are 30+ goalies in the NHL better at the moment. He needs to overhaul his approach and incorporate some stand up in certain situations (like shots from the outside). Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Holland was just on the FAN 590 here in Toronto and said that the rumour that was going around that Draper was going to Toronto for Raycroft is completely false. Holland also said he can't remember when the last time he ever spoke to anyone from the Leafs. THAT MEANS THAT THE WINGS AND LEAFS DON'T TALK!!!!
