Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted July 31, 2007 http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=215125&hubname=nhl Surprised he could never crack a starting job in the NHL. He was an excellent goalie in the Russian Super League during the lockout, and put up record setting numbers.
FinWing 26 Report post Posted July 31, 2007 What you said Kp. I just wish he isn't quite finished in the NHL yet. For now, at least he gets to play for a team seriously competing for national honours.
interminded 1 Report post Posted July 31, 2007 He had just some bad luck: In Edmonton, Tommy Salo was the starter, in New York it was Mike Dunham. Back in Edmonton again, he was battling with Conklin and Roloson. He played a good couple of games against the Canes when Rolosn got injured in the playoffs, back in 2006. His 06-07 numbers weren't that great however.. Good luck to Jussi.
TheBadOne 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2007 I can't say I'm surprised. Given the current goaltending situation in the NHL, this is probably the best move for him. Good luck just the same.
