OsGOD 3 Report post Posted October 15, 2007 The NHL does have guidelines about off ice behavior. It's a joke that he wasn't even suspended for what he did. Even though this is completely off topic, and a whole different can of worms. Yeah Mark Bell ... no death invovled... and he is being made an example out of. BringHomeTheCup! 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2007 the way i look at it... alchohol injury or sober Death... wihich has the worse outcome. Obviously the death. All I'm saying is, to be fair, Heatley wasn't guilty of anything other than being a irresponsible young kid driving a fast car, too fast. It's tough to compare the two, it's like asking you if launching a nuclear bomb, or shooting a gun is worse. It's the bomb, of course. But since the bomb lands in the ocean, harming no one, and the bullet kills a man, somehow the bomb isn't so wrong now. I think it's wrong to place more judgment on the outcome, than the act itself. I think we can all agree that Bell's offense had much more potential to have devastating results, than that of Heatley. On a sidenote, my buddy has a hard-on for Heatley, I always give him s***, and remind him that Heatley is a murderer. Saturday before last, on HNIC, Grapes said something to the effect of "Heatley can kill you from anywhere..." I couldn't stop laughing. Don was right on, and didn't even know it. Anyhow, I'm off to bed, it's already going to be a long day at work tomorrow, well, later on today anyhow.

96warrior 11 Report post Posted October 15, 2007 http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=220668&hubname=nhl TSN.ca Staff 10/15/2007 1:23:03 PM The Philadelphia Flyers placed suspended forward Jesse Boulerice on waivers Monday. Boulerice is serving a 25-game suspension for cross-checking Vancouver Canucks centre Ryan Kesler in the head last Wednesday. "I reacted in a bad way - the wrong way," Boulerice said following the game. "I wanted to give him a hit back." "We're by no means condoning what happened," Flyers coach John Stevens said after the team announced the suspension. "He's going to have to stand up and pay the price." Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren echoed the same sentiment. "I think we're in agreement that there's no place in the game for this anymore. I do think it was an isolated incident. Jesse lost his composure, lost his cool. It's something that's not the right thing to do, at any time," he said. Boulerice, 29, signed with the Flyers after completing a tryout in the exhibition season.

Turkey 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2007 Vick committed a criminal act that was also remarkably barbaric. Heatley drove his car too fast and got into an accident. You're comparing apples and oranges here. As far as Boulerice goes, what does this move mean? Will Philly try to dump this guy? Would anyone take him? You're comparing apples and oranges here. As far as Boulerice goes, what does this move mean? Will Philly try to dump this guy? Would anyone take him? If you remember, Heatley was charged with first-degree vehicular homicide, the ONLY reason it wasn't pursued was because the Snyder family wished it so. Had the Snyders not been some unbelievably forgiving, Heatley is behind bars right now. It's really not so different. Regarding Boulerice, his career is likely over. He was lucky to make the Flyers, and I don't think any team would really be interested in a guy who might me able to help them in 25 games.
Turkey 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2007 Update, Boulerice has been declared ineligible by the AHL until mid December. TSN
