joey_corleone 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 When I was talking earlier in another thread about how the new NHL rules have ruined the game completely, this kind of officiating is exactly what I was referring to. Where is the guy that replied saying how great it was because of less "clutching and holding".
redwingslady87 130 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 not to often you see Z lose his temper like that. i know, he reminds me more of yzerman every game. He don't lose his temper often, but when he loses it, its lost.
SuperCalaFilppulastic! 34 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 What a bizarre game...! That one ref is acting like it is his first time watching a game.
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 hank being interviewed, and is asked, "don't you think the WIngs and Ducks kind of mirror each others' styles?" Um, no, the Wings play hockey and the Ducks play dirty. * that's my answer, not Hanks.
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 did i miss something, or would the Wings have had a 4th goal had Pronger not dove and Homer got called for doing the same thing that was being done to him??
RedWingsFanatic 4 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 As a fan of the National Hockey League, not of the Detroit Red Wings, I must vent here for a second. This isn't even hockey anymore. I'm not just complaining about the calls on the Wings. I'm complaining about all of it. I don't like the rules, I don't like the way they are interpreted and I don't like what the NHL product has become. You get a game with two great teams featuring a number of some of the brightest young stars in the league (Zetterberg, Getzlaf, Datsyuk, Perry, etc.) and it's reduced to nothing more than a penalty-filled mess of a game. Who enjoys this? I certainly don't. The players certainly don't. The coaches certainly don't. Who exactly is this benefiting? The NHL will not catch on with the average Joe Schmo sports fan because of finesse and puck-handling. It will catch on because of physicality and toughness. That is what sets hockey apart. That is why I love it. But this crap? I'm embarrassed to watch it. Oh, and Go Wings. Beat the Ducks.
Lidstromrules16 7 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 Hank is such a well spoken man......He did not look happy in that interview. I wanted him to burst out on the interviewer. "Yea its chippy, I got ******* high sticked. Dont send me back out there coach.....please no!".........thats probably what Hudler said

Nero 20 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 Red Wings have spent 20 minutes in the box. Ducks have spent 16 minutes. Something is not right here. Can referees have their license revoked? If not then I propose this bunch to be the first.

Flip-check 6 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 Who was doing that interview, Loo? I don't know if you CI-subscribers get FSN feeds or an entirely different set of Center Ice announcers. I'm coming here between intermissions, but I hope it wasn't Keating asking that dumbass question. Actually, I do.. because then it'd mean there's one less idiot out there. did i miss something, or would the Wings have had a 4th goal had Pronger not dove and Homer got called for doing the same thing that was being done to him?? They would have. The Wings could easily be up like.. 6-3 now though. Zetter almost had the hat trick, then he almost got Cleary a goal (should've deked, he had Bryz), then that goal. Datsyukian Geek 2 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 Just got home..sounds like a good game. Was hanks 2nd goal unassisted? "Good" is a relative term. Luckily, we're tied, yes, but the penalties have been atrocious...

Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 did i miss something, or would the Wings have had a 4th goal had Pronger not dove and Homer got called for doing the same thing that was being done to him?? Yeah- f*** I'm pissed. Zetterberg went from hat-trick to one goal in a dive and swoop of NHL.com's pen. Damn that pisses me off. Z clearly tipped that shot from Rafalski- the puck jumped off his stick. I really hope the NHL fixes this.
theman19 47 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 "that's what happened last year in the playoffs",.....the redwings had lots of bulls*** calls like this go against them and the ducks capitalized on it. fixed it for the idiot announcer

Flip-check 6 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 Why the f*** do the ducks always go for our stars? Do they know what the word "class" means? God I hate this team... I'd have to see a replay, but I think it might have been carelessness out of the faceoff more than intent to give Hank a chinshot with the buttend. Then again it might have just been an ******* cheapshot.
