What is it about Kopecky that has you so bent out of shape with him?

I ask this as an honest question.

I can not watch all of the games but from what little I have been able to read on the games and the team he is playing his role, and not being a detriment to the team.

Is that how guys are judged? Based on whether they're a detriment or not? I look at what he has contributed so far that should warrant Ellis and Downey to be scratched for him? They're playing a lot harder than he is. He doesn't skate well, he can't use his size, and he's not a very skilled player. If he starts doing something, I'll be the first to say I was wrong about him, but until then, he's staying in my doghouse.

Well to be fair detriment was not the only reason I gave you.

But if he his not skating and not playing well that is cool, that is jsut not what I have read or heard.

Neither are Ellis or Downey.

Kopecky doesn't deserve to be in the lineup. He hasn't proven anything. If the Wings want to have guys that are only going to play 5-7 minutes a game on the 4th line, at least play someone like Ellis, who's hard work leads to opporutunities, or Downey, who will defend his teammates. There is no sense completely wasting that roster spot on someone like Kopecky, who does absolutley nothing.

Kopecky hasn't been a detriment, but really, nobody has. Just because Kopecky hasn't cost us a game yet doesn't mean he should get into the lineup over two guys like Ellis or Downey, who have both played much better and have contributed a lot more than Kopecky.

Not to be a jack ass here but last week maybe the week before Ellis was one of everyone's whipping boys, now he is a contributer, interesting.

But I have a hard time believing Kopecky does "absolutely nothing", but maybe this is Babs way of giving him a chance to prove himself and once all are healthy and in the line up again he will not have earned a spot and Ellis will have.
