I just want to know ... why doesnt anyone and when i mean anyone i mean everyone on tsn ... sportscenter espn or any other sports station and even probably 3/4 nhl fans talk about CORY STILLMAN this guy is no sidney crosby but his pretty darn good he has 50-80 pts every season .... so why isnt this guy never on spotlight ... is it me or i have a feeling its like they decide who to make popular and who to not make popular ... i dont about you ... but production wise id consider stillman similliar to holmstrom - datsyuk ... pts wise im talkin about not play style ...

So i was wondering can they actually decide who to make popular and who to not ...

Because he plays for Carolina? Similar question could be asked about Jokinen out of Florida as well.

Side note: Stillman was undrafted in my fantasy league. I picked him up in free agency first week.

Stillman is underrated but the reason he's not regarded as an elite player is because he isn't one. There's more to the game than stats. He scores in a secondary role on a deep offensive team, and does it well, but he's not remotely the best forward on his team.

Yes your right stats probably dont mean nothing ... but his not that bad defensively ... He played for the tampa ... won the cup ... next year he played with hurricanes ... won the cup and the year that he won with the canes ... he had 26 pts in 25 games ... wouldnt you want him on the wings roster 2nd line?

I think that any player/team in the Southeast Divison, save for Ovechkin, doesn't get much hype or attention at all. Cory Stillman is definitely a crucial part of the Canes, who currently have the top goal scoring production in the NHL, but is more of an outstanding role player than an elite player.
