Guest octopusdank Report post Posted January 24, 2008 is it just me, or is cleary really shaping up ?? he may not be an allstar, but goddamn he has a lot of heart. im so glad we acquired and that he was untapped every where else, it seems like that helped him to want to step it up. hes 3 points away from his totals last year. its not always about skills for me, i love a player that goes out with a great "keep your head up" attitude, grinds for the team, and even gets physical just as much as the allstars. and even steps up against that ogre pronger?? hahah i dont even care if cleary lost that fight (which i think he didnt) i hope to see number 11 a permanent fixture .id also love to see the pain train travel down the tracks into "progres" tunnel. Lidsyukerberg 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2008 I agree, I am really liking Cleary this year. I thought he had potential last year as well, I was just waiting to see if he tapped that potential this year or not. I think he has, undoubtedly.
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted January 24, 2008 I of course completely agree. He's got so much heart and determination it's unreal. I really can't say enough about the guy. He's amazing. Huge props to Holland for giving him a chance because it has more than paid off. They need to get him re-signed already!

QFT There isn't too many 19 goal scorers (in 51 games) making $675,000. It's going to be an interesting renegotiation to say the least. Given Cleary's failures in Chicago, Edmonton and Phoenix and the fact that he's only thrived in Detroit, who knows what his contract will end up looking like.
