Mors 201 Report post Posted January 25, 2008 2 Misconducts for Philly tonight...Steve Downie being one of them, shocker! Also, 7 points for Alfredsson in the Ottawa/Tampa game.
Sevumar 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2008 Don't forget: a big win for Washington to avenge last night's loss to Toronto! They're only one point out of first in the Southeast after this. Not that the Southeast is home to many of the powerhouse teams in the league, but I'd love to see the Caps in the playoffs this year.
Viperar 16 Report post Posted January 25, 2008 just got back from the caps game, a good win, caps fans were giving maple leafs fans s*** so that was nice to see I also got hit in the head with a puck watching the leafs pre-skate, i believe from a shot by antropov, hit the netting and came down on my head

Should be noted before the ripping of Downie commences, that this game misconduct was for his jersey not being tied down....so thats a nothing one. He took a wicked looking board from Laraque earlier too.
Mors 201 Report post Posted January 25, 2008 As a resident of Maryland, I only support the Capitals making it to the playoffs if it's in order for the Wings sweep them right back out I have to take a lot of s*** from Caps fans who believe all Wings' fans are bandwagoners, even after the last 15+ years I've spent following them. I would enjoy a Wings-Caps Stanley Cup finals this year. But since they're not competing directly with Detroit most of the year, they get to be my favorites in the far-off East. I can see how fans of hard-luck teams would direct their bitterness at fans of teams with long track records of success. It sucks, but Caps fans have had a raw deal for some time.
