The Wings have taken some 500 shots more than their opposition this season. +/-: Of the top twelve players in +/-, seven are Wings. Overall: 1st: Lidstrom, +40 3rd: Datsyuk, +30 5th: Cleary, +22 6th: Filppula, +20 7th: Zetterberg, +20 8th: Kronwall, +18 9th: Rafalski, +17 Amongst Defensemen: +/- 1st: Lidstrom, +40 2nd: Kronwall, +18 3rd: Rafalski, +17 Amongst Forwards: 3rd: Datsyuk, +30 4th: Cleary, +22 5th: Filppula, +20 6th: Zetterberg, +20 Points Points Amongst Defensemen: 1st: Lidstrom, 46 2nd: Rafalski, 43 Stats Amongst Goaltenders GAA: 1st: Osgood, 1.87 4th: Hasek, 2.12 SV%: 3rd: Osgood, .925 (Thomas is 1st at .927) Further -Lidstrom is virtually a lock for the Norris Trophy this year, with 46 points and a +40. After Rafalski (who at this rate will likely be a runner up, with 43 points and a +17), the next most-likely candidate is Wade Redden, who has a mere 28 points and +12. -With 58 points, a +30 and only SIX penalty minutes, Datsyuk looks to be in a position to capture his third consecutive Lady Byng Trophy. Go team! I was going to post the same +- stats; its unbelievable! And I couldn't help notice that Pronger finally climbed out of the minus into a whopping +3 or something. But I'm sure he must play against the other teams best line every nite...kinda like Lidstrom... oh, but he is on the PK...oh, yeah, kinda like Lids... And I couldn't help notice that Pronger finally climbed out of the minus into a whopping +3 or something. But I'm sure he must play against the other teams best line every nite...kinda like Lidstrom... oh, but he is on the PK...oh, yeah, kinda like Lids... The incredible part of Lidstrom's +/- is that goals scored while on the ice on the PP do not count towards a player's +/- and thus Lidstrom's +40 all comes from even strength/shorthanded play. Note that goals against on the PK do not affect +/- either, meaning that Pronger sucks even worse this year than you'd think. For the record, he's currently a -1.
