hahaha christ I feel bad for that reporter.

By far the funniest post game show I've seen this year.

I was thinking that too! First Cheli walks right between Trevor Thompson and the camera, then Babcock comes out for his interview a bit early, and off and on Downey is in the back yelling random things.

In terms of the game, the main thing that made me laugh was Sammy's empty net goal attempt and he slap shot it at the opposing player's shin...how appropriate.

can somebody please tell me what the hell sammy was doing on the top line? i don't understand babcock. all sammy did all night was fumble around and mess up anything good datsyuk or zetterberg created. the guy is worthless. is it any coincidence the only reg stength goal was scored with cleary on the top line in place of sammy? get a clue babcock.

tight game. kinda boring, but good to get in the habit of having to keep concentration for a full 60. franzen has really found his stride. he's an upgrade over holmstrom the way he's playing right now. he basically does what homer does but franzen isn't a liability on defense or carrying the puck. i'm sure homer will get top line honors when he's back, but i wouldn't mind franzen taking his place.

datsyuk zetterberg franzen

cleary filppula holmstrom

i think that looks like a pretty good top six.

San Jose lost in overtime. 8 points up and the Sharkies have 6 games left to play. 5 points in our last 5 games clinches it :)

I can't wait for the playoffs to get here. As much as I love the Wings, I've had no desire to watch a game in about 2 weeks. I'm sick of playing these s***ty Central teams. I'm ready for a game to matter again.

I seriously want to know what the heck they did to Franzen. That guy is a beast!

Actually, unless my math is off (and please correct me if I'm wrong) we'll only need 4 points to clinch. Detroit currently holds the tiebreaker if they finish with the same # of points as SJ. (Tiebreaker is the total # of wins followed by, long story short, the results of the regular season series, which Detroit owns 3-1.) So if San Jose wins out the rest of their season, they'll finish at 112 points by-way-of 51 total wins. Detroit is already sitting at 51 wins, so even if we earn our 4 points needed through OT/SO, then we'll still clinch the Conference & President's trophy.

That's a worst case scenario (other than NOT earning 4 points, that is) however. If we can get 6-8 points out of our last 5 games, I'll be happy. Provided that we get those points injury free, and get in tune for the playoffs!!

As I posted earlier, it's amazing how the first shift with Sammy not on the top line resulted in Hank's goal.

Babcock's man crush on Sammy needs to stop. This hack needs to be put on the 4th line, where none of us will mind him taking shots and making a fool of himself. This is a perfect compromise for everyone.
