Hank Dats 'N Homer 81 Report post Posted April 16, 2008 (edited) Man, versus is showing a replay of the Philly game right from last night and i got caught up in it. They showed a replay from one of the goals in the dallas ducks game and in my mind i for some reason thought it was the 4th game for that series. But now that i read one of the reasposes to this post i figured out that it was a replay from last nights game. But man dallas dominated the first two games and anaheim just crushed them last game. Are the tides turning or was it just a one game thing....thoughts? Edited April 16, 2008 by Hank Dats 'N Homer
Herr Hockey 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2008 Man after watching the first two games i counted the ducks out. The stars were just so dominant in those games i didnt think the ducks had a chance. The stars were being physical and beating the ducks at their own game. But game 3 was a different story, it looked like Turco and the rest of the stars stopped trying. And now i see a recap of whats going on tonight and the ducks are already up 3-0. Man i just wish the ducks would get beat. Its not that im affraid of them, i just hate them that bad that i want them out in the first round....anyone getting the Stars game right now that can give us a run around of what its looking like? Are they just getting beat that bad, or are the ducks getting lucky? Either way they are winnin so it sucks either way Maybe I am misreading you, but they are not playing tonight. Maybe you're watching a replay of a recap. I still think the Stars will win that series, the Ducks have no offense and they're about as overrated as they come. Doggy 130 Report post Posted April 16, 2008 I think the Stars will win too. Last season I had no respect for them. I told my mate it didn't matter who they played - they would lose to Sarnia Sting in the first round and they sure didn't let me down. This year however, they've earnt my respect and as such I picked them to win in 6. I still think this will happen. I wish I had've watched game 3 but I didn't so i can't comment on how the Stars played.

My bad. lol, yeah I fell asleep with the TV on during a Tigers game once, and woke up a 3am when the replay was on. I, of course, thought the game was still on and was absolutely astonished until I noticed the inning.
tweekvp 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2008 I'll admit I only saw a few replays but it looked liked the ducks were successfully dumping the puck in the corners in game three. They were also successfully throwing elbows on the forecheck leading to at least one of the goals.
Frozen-Man 144 Report post Posted April 16, 2008 I was actuallly at the game last night and the score is not really indicitive of the game as a whole. Dallas was seriously outplaying them (several posts, 2 on 1s, 3 on 2s, etc.) and then Anahiem scored a goal and then a stupid turnover on Dallas' part. That unnerved them a bit and then Turco let in two power play goals. BUT then Anahiem started to play like Anahiem and taking bad penalties. Dallas got two on power plays that were beautiful and were very bad short handed defense. Schneider then took a double minor for high sticking and it really seemed (remember they had just gotten two pp goals) that they would bring it within 1 or possibly tie the game. They did not but Anaheim had a really hard time holding them down and in the end the momentum seemed to be back with Dallas. I think that they have a great shot of winning again Thursday. Thanks for the recap man. I'm glad to hear it. Dallas has matched up well against the Ducks all season - I'd be shattered if they ended up losing this series. Yeah I was really disappointed that they lost last night even though I knew there was a great chance of it. That was pretty much a must win for Anaheim but Dallas really outplayed them overall. It was just one of those nights where everything went better for Anaheim.
