My question is: Does anyone know what exactly the requirements are? This could mean a million dollars extra in cap space possibly so it is important. Is it so many games played, games won, playoff rounds won etc... If it is contingent on making the finals, does it count if he is riding the pine? Winter said the deal is "in the $2 million range'' with a bonus structure valued at another $2 million, based on team playoff success. I'll see if I can find something more specific. I may be reading too much into it but if those words aren't accidental or coincidental, it seems "TEAM" success, not personal success, will determine the contract. The Wings had plenty of cap room even after the Trade Deadline and will be able to cover his bonus against this years cap as well as Cheli's $300,000 bonus. The only one this should upset is Illitch.
