Way to be a good sport. Maybe someone could edit a helmet and a Ducks jersey on Donald, then it would be perfect.

...this is what happens to the "Bettman" teams. Look at the last 3 winners since the Dynasty teams of Detroit then New Jersey won it. Anaheim, Carolina and Tampa. Hmmm, look at the Detroit Red Wings. Still adavancing. Now you can probably expect Neidermeyer and Selanna to retire again, Bertuzzi should jump ship, Weight will go back to St. Louis (or retire) They aren't getting crap in return for losing Penner and soon there will be a mass exodus out of Anaheim. No they won't make the playoffs, Pronger will be traded and the duckies will be just another one hit wonder "Bettman" team, meanwhile the Devils, Red Wings, Aves, Rangers, Stars, etc... are STILL making a splash in the playoffs. Hmmmm, go figure...

That's actually a good point that I've never really thought of until you brought it up. I guess this could potentially be the beginning of the end, the closing of the window, although that does depend on how the new (or old) GM handles it. Either way, I guess the only real difference is that Tampa and Carolina had much sharper dropoffs after their cup seasons with Carolina missing the playoffs both years since, and Tampa not fairing much better, while the Ducks at least had a contender this season. Seems like there is a pattern developing, lets hope the Ducks follow suit.

ALthough I do think that we may see them make the playoffs next year, just in a far less dominant and highly anticipated role.

Although I'm happy that the Ducks are out I am kind of disappointed that we weren't the team to eliminate them.

I just want revenge more than anything.

wow, I thought I had encountered some fickle fans before, but the Duck's fans take the prize. Or lose. I hate the Ducks, but that's pretty awful.

I don't think it's that they are fickle. It's just that there's only so many fans to begin with.

I don't think we should be gloating too much over this. It's great that they're out, and it's always nice to see a classless team get eliminated. But let's not insult their fans IN RELATION TO LOSING. We've been down that path and karma is a *****. Let's stick to ridiculing their fans outside of their loss and ridiculing the Ducks for being goons.

Anybody remember way back before the season started and I said they weren't the favorites to win the cup, I pointed out a lack of offense and a lot of you said I was dumb, a blatant homer, blind, etc, etc and that was before Neids and Teemu even hinted at coming back.

I love all the "I told ya so" posts. Like they're some sort of validation for people who guessed that Anaheim wouldn't repeat. Genius! I'm gonna lay it down right now...the Florida Panthers will not win the Stanley Cup next year! Come back here next year and admire my brilliance!!!

Wrong it is to point out the people who type things here like they are some sort of hockey god and that they know everything.

All I simply stated was that I thought SJS was the favorite not ANA, then I said why, read the thread and see what people wrote.

This isn't that I was right it is that people who were calling me a homer, and blind and other things can remember their posts.
