2probert4 8 Report post Posted April 23, 2008 I've never walked around Downtown Detroit and worried even for a moment about being mugged. Please try and keep the misinformation to a minimum, k? Hey Ev, getting off the people mover and walking into the Joe doesn't count as walking downtown. Same goes for the Greektown area. LOL at you scolding someone about misinformation, (example) you saying Osgood's career is on par with Patrick Roy. Been to Yahoo NHL 1 lately ? Thornton, Paul and Shelby miss you dearly. RedFX 48 Report post Posted April 23, 2008 I lived in areas where there was snow/ice so I had to have a 4x4. Your friend using the OSU - Michigan rivalry is saying that the Preds and Wings are on that level, and the tradition in that rivalry is miles above what is going on between Detroit and themselves. I was talking about a Wings logo on a Colorado......never mind I know that, they don't. There is a huge population in Tennessee that cheer/follow both teams. RedWingBelle 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2008 It's great to hear all the positive statements about Tennessee! Although I am a diehard Red Wing fan, it's always pleasant to hear good things being said about another team's state....especially when it's where I'm from ! I've been in Michigan now for going on 8 years and I am, quite simply, addicted to hockey and the Red Wings. The Preds 'rivalry' is always fun for me because my family and closest friends are back in Tennessee and we banter back and forth quite a bit. I have to say, though, that Choo-Coo-Too-Too whistle is very annoying ! The Red Wing fans are strong down there as well with the automotive area (Springhill) just outside of Nashville. I knew absolutley nothing about hockey until I moved up here and my husband (at that time fiance') explained it to me and took me to a game at The Joe - I haven't been the same since ! Y'all have spoiled me rotten with a great team and great fans ! I'm glad you made it out of Tennessee safe and sound. It's good to see that Southern Hospitality, even via a Tennessee State Trooper escort, is still in full swing! Can't wait til tomorrow night.....LET'S GO RED WINGS !! ~Belle~

Can't wait til tomorrow night.....LET'S GO RED WINGS !! ~Belle~ I've always loved the southern states and the southern hospitality. My Red Wings gear was all in fun. Although, even though previously I stated I would wear my jersey and fly my flag through Tennessee on the way home, I've decided that it would be too much "in your face"..so I've decided to let it go. I may just wear one of my tee shirts. Glad to have another Red Wings fan! It's the best game in the world!
