gcom007 1,465 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 Go Habs, get another and send this to multiple overtimes Yeah, I need something else to watch. That's what I hate about the first round being over...less hockey to watch...
seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 Saku Koivu is a boss of epic proportions. He always has that desire when he plays.
Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 To be fair, the Habs did absolutely nothing the before Hatcher's match penalty to suggest they belong in this game. But their PP looked much better there than it did when they had a string of chances in the first period--way to finally get some presence in front of the net. Now Philly looks like their strategy is to rely on Biron to stand on his head for the final 6:30 to get the win.
Never_Retire_Steve 35 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 Please Montreal tie this up and go into OT
Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 (edited) You guys have no idea how happy I am that Hatcher no longer plays on the Red Wings Agreed. It's good to see Umberger back out there for the Flyers btw. He's having a good series, and it would be tough luck for the Flyers to lose him on what looked like a very innocent play. Doggy 130 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 John Stevens has been such a good coach for the Flyers. He has employed the perfect gameplan this series for his group of players to beat a better, more well-rounded Montreal team. He really needs to get his players to keep out of the box though. They play with great intensity and leave nothing out on the ice but they've gotta be smarter because these powerplays could've buried them if Montreal was better with the man advantage. Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 Big opportunity missed by the Habs there. And now a too many men penalty. Huge swing.

seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 That change happened super early, but they didn't play the puck until the 6th guy was off.
Doggy 130 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 (edited) What a stupid icing by the way by that MTL player. Completely unnecessary. Edited April 29, 2008 by Doggy

Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 Game saving play by Timonen there. Where was the effort from Kostitsyn there? If he dives he can get to that puck and keep it in the zone. Instead he watches it drift out as the clock runs out. The Habs were lucky to even be in that game. They were fortunate to have the 5-min PP, and they made the most of it. But they've generated very little 5-on-5 for long stretches of this series, and if they don't fix that soon they won't be around long.
gcom007 1,465 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 I've got a funny feeling that this is going to get tied up... I've gotta admit, I really didn't think they would at all, but I really wanted them to...
miller76 463 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 I feel like it doesn't matter who wins this series. Thinking Pittsburgh will win their series, they will destroy either PHL/MTL These two teams are to hot/cold.

Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 Pitt/Philly might be my favorite series of the playoffs if it happens. I think it'd be great too. Im sure most would think the Flyers would have no chance in that, but this team just isnt going to get the recognition for how good and deep they are until they keep beating everyone. The good thing for Philly in that matchup if that happens is Fleury cancels out the Biron factor. I think they'd get to him as the pressure mounts and it'd be a pretty high scoring series. I dont think the Rangers are dead yet though by any means.

I dont think the Rangers are dead yet though by any means. It should be. They scored 51 goals combined against each other in the ragular season (Philly with 28 of them and taking the series) Both teams match up well against each other and the general dislike is there.
