T.Low 1,011 Report post Posted May 2, 2008 I hate how they make it sound like we played half of Colorado. Until tonight they were only missing like two players a game. It was just that the players constantly rotated injuries. And you know, injuries are part of the game. Detroit destroyed them like they should destroy. Before anyone makes excuses for Colorado they should realize this series that Detroit didn't HAVE to beat them this bad. Colorado still could've made a series out of it, even with injuries, but they didn't. I'd say Colorado still had talent available on par with Nashville and look at what Nashville did. No excuses. Now, I'm getting excited, but let's not get cocky again. Let the euphoria wear off and realize the next round is NOT going to be this easy. I agree it makes no sense, but it's not outside the realm of possibility. For anyone that's sane, its out of the realm of possibility. Aside from being a part of the team was the Wings' fiercest rival over the late 90's, what did Joe ever do to be lumped in with any of those hated players aside from being on their team? I mute the TV when Keith Jones comes on because he used to play for the Avs. I never said Sakic wasn't good, I just don't like him. Well, I can't change how you feel about him. Thanks for giving me bragging rights over my Pens-fan ex, who's been smugly predicting a DET meltdown all through the PO's... after Game 2 he said the Avs would come back to win it, after Game 3 he said we'll get whupped by Dallas. Let them get to thinking they can succeed and advance after the Wild threw their sticks out on the ice and expected to win without playing.........then DESTROY them in round 2. This is what being a Wings fan is all about. Looking at the faces of those Avs Monkey fans (those who were still in the stands) and loving every minute of seeing how dejected they looked. Sadly for the Avs, lots of their fans headed for the exits after the second period. It was shameful.
