erok 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2008 I am suprised no one has posted this rumor yet. According to Hockeybuzz, Melrose is close to coaching again. If so, where could he end up? I hear Toronto is looking for a coach. What do you think about this? A source this morning has informed me that Barry Melrose would indeed be returning to coach an NHL team this fall. "It is almost 100% in place I was told." The team Melrose will return to coach? We will know that for certain very soon as well. I asked a trusted source who was VERY familiar with Melrose's coaching style how he would describe Barry... "He's a VERY good motivational coach, not to unlike Lindy Ruff. He gets the most out of his players. During his Cup run with LA, Barry was very into Tony Robbins, motivational speaking, etc. If you are a hard working player, you are one of Barry's guys." source: http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=15191

Hatchet Barry 71 Report post Posted May 8, 2008 I heard that Tampa Bay might fore Tortarella or however you spell his name, and then turn around and hire Melrose. If that were to happen I'd laugh my ass off. Mr. Mullet might just be back.
