tiff_luvs_homer 5 Report post Posted May 10, 2008 Quenneville must have nightmares of the Winged Wheel. We've run him out of two consecutive jobs now. then it was a blessing in disguise for avs fans since he's gone now. I would have loved to see the avs go further, but if losing the series made them wake up and make some changes then I say "SO BE IT!"
miksteri 55 Report post Posted May 10, 2008 http://www.thefourthperiod.com/news/col080510.html With the Avalanche parting ways with bench boss Joel Quenneville, there have been rumblings suggesting the team could bring back Patrick Roy to coach the team. Roy told the Montreal Gazette he would be interested in an NHL job, but the paper claims he's committed to his job as coach and GM of the Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL. Roy is believed to be among candidates to take over as Colorado's next head coach, along with Pat Burns and Paul Maurice, who was fired this week by the Toronto Maple Leafs. Roy has no NHL coaching experience, but he has led the Remparts to a Memorial Cup. ----------------- I cant believe that they are even considering giving Patty a coaching job, but then again, wasnt Granato avs coach at one time? Of all the coaches in the planet, Granato and now... Roy? insane...
